I need to find a ignition hot source to tap for my painless kit. The cigarette lighter was my first choice but I can't seem to get the dash apart. My '05 just popped off, but the silver bezel on this '07 is either really tight or I'm missing some screws. Is there a source under the kick plate I can tap? I have a service manual for an '03-05, but not '07. Any wiring diagrams appreciated!

TIA,

WOT

I'm using a fuse slip on clip on fuse #30 in the Power Center fuse box of my 06. I've soldered an 18 ga. wire to the clip (Available from Wrangler Products) and have a 30 amp relay mounted on the top of the fuse box. I use the wire from the fuse to trigger the relay. The hot feed for the relay comes from the bolt at the bottom front corner of the fuse box. I used 12 ga. wire with a 30amp fuse to feed the relay and just run another 18ga. wire to chassis ground to ground the relay. If the 30 amp relay is not sufficient, simply add another 30 amp relay and jumper the trigger and ground wires as there is very little power required to run the relays, however the 12 ga. feeds must be fused. Max 30 amp for each relay.
