I replaced my banks plate with a #10, and put in the 3K GSK a couple days ago. I have moved the plate progressively foward to try and decide where I wanted it, now it is fully forward. I was expecting to see lots of smoke and high egt's, but I only get a puff of black smoke before the turbo spools, and I haven't seen over 1100 pre-turbo. Bottom end power is definately stronger with the #10, but it seems to run out of power above 2300 RPM or so, not defueling, but just like it needs more fuel if that makes any sense. I am going to try to get the timing set to 16 or 17 in the next day or two, but I don't think it will help the problem I'm having now.

Any ideas?

Nick

My first thought is to check the governor lever.

If that doesn't help, then maybe check the installation of the GSK.

I was also thinkin' the AFC, but once boost comes on, that should not be a factor.

With a #10 full forward you should be seeing more smoke and EGTs than you want. Sump'ns not right.
