Today's Posting from the Bangor PD...

Don't see this in the news very often......

Yes Sir, Ram4Sam, Still $35. On thing this forum does not have that many other forums have that I've joined is all the, I'll just say "non-sense" (a better choise of words). Believe me as many older members still remember. We used to cut up lots more than we do now.
Steve, how many members over 10 years that do not type?
Thanks for the replies.

My 1st magazine was FEB/March/April 1996. I learned about the TDR in October '95 as I was ordering the truck and the salesman gave me a brochure. Denise signed me up as either a Christmas present or for my birhtday in January.

So, 10 years have passed. I found this site after buying my 2001. Good thing too, most of the problems that were going to happen, happened and I knew exactly what to do about them. Stuff like the brake booster blowing the seal in the accumulator, the clockspring, those loveable lift pumps, and adding the BHAF.

I sure miss that truck, in spite of the problems it had.

Yep, May of 2000 for me. . over 3300 posts.

Hard to believe it has been ten years. . but, Got a new truck that is 1 yr old so I will be continuing on.

i joined in 1996 when i bought my ram diesel a 1995 2500. i'am now on my 4th ram diesel. i still have all my tdr magazines from 1996 to the present.

been a member since 2000. this site has helped me more times than i can count on. i still miss the "chat after dark", that used to be fun.

... the chat room still works... . it always seemed like a good skunkworks for on-forum hijinks.

. . not that I'm trying to mastermind anything here. :-laf

I've learned pretty much everything I know about diesels from this site and the people affiliated with it. I can say without a doubt that even after 10 years, my total membership fees have been offset many times over in savings through the knowlege I've gained from this club. Heck, just in filters alone I bet I've paid for my membership - not to mention lift pumps, vacuum pump seals, etc... I love my truck, and don't plan to ever get rid of it. I feel fortunate that I was able to buy it when I did (I ordered it new in Feb. of 2000), because I don't think I could swing buying a new truck these days - especially with a daughter in college!

Even though I haven't been very active in the past few years (been caught up in my '64 Plymouth), I keep my membership going. I still use it, and I consider it continued payback for all I've gotten out of the club. The entertainment value of the chatroom back in the day was priceless! LOL:D

Many thanks to Robert and Robin for this great site, and to Steve for being a great webmaster over the years.

I joined October 1999. I was researching on the old site for about six months berfore the TDR site started. Bought my truck after thorough research on this site on 3/26/2000. It was and still is exactly what I wanted. Still upgrading and maintaning with the help of TDR.

Not quite 10 years, but closing in on it fast. :-laf And, Michael, you didn't have to bring up the "old guys" thing. :{

I think it does bear mentioning some of the pioneers, enthusiasts and board contributors over the years. . . names such as HVAC (Nowel Thomas), Sport Bike, David_VT, Ted Jannetty, Mopar-Muscle, Scotty (Massdiesel), Scott-1 (Psychotty intake fame), Marco, illflem, Gary K7 GLD, I also like to think the NW Bombers had a lot of contribution and involvement, ie Bob Wagner, Rob Hanson, Evan Beck, MikeR, Andy Perrault. . . the list goes on and on.

Thanks for mentioning these guys. You forgot Vaughn MacKenzie and RustyJC (and others, I'm sure).

illflem in particular is a legend. I hope wherever he is, he's still driving a Cummins. I shed a tear when my post count passed his. Truly, I am not worthy.
