I would of listened to the sign's even thou it said 4 wheel drive with snow tires ok I would of turned around and went down hwy 395 instead of trying to cross hwy 88 and ended up rolling the truck I thought that having 4x4 and everything was ok till we hit the 2 inches of ice going around that corner at less then 20 mph What E ticket ride that was :)

i would of subscribed to tdr along time ago. i cant believe how helpful and knowledgeable the magazine/website is. i could have saved alot of time and money. keep up the good work.

If I only new how good a cummins really was :-laf I never would have let me first diesel be a '99 powerstroke ... dont even get me started on that nightmare... #@$%!

I would have realized how cool First Gen truck were (ARE) when they were new and not wasted all that time and money on other vehicles not knowing.

I would of kept my 97 12 valve and made a pulling truck out of it instead of putting way to much money in my 05 CR trying to make a street driven puller.

Thanks Guys

When this challenge came up - - I thought boy have I got one - or two -or may be even three or four. But as I sit here in another hotel room, on the road for the umteenth time - - - Have I made some mistakes - - but as I sit here thinking, the mistakes have lead to some great adventures - - some I can write about and some I'd just as soon forgot, but the people I've met along the way in my 67 years on this earth have totaly made up for the errors - - - just lucky? No, I don't think so, if I hadn't bought the '94 Dodge Dually, I would never have met Robert and Robin, they were just getting started, and I would have alot more money now 'cause I wouldn't have heard of Geno's. If I hadn't bought the '97 1/2 ton pick up I wouln't have had any thing to complain about- and probably wouldn't have bought the '99 an if I hadn't bought the '99 I woudn't have met Ted Jannetty and gotten Hop it up feaver! Then came the 2001 with the auto trans that I was afrade to hop up, but then there was Andy Redmond down in Texas, and then there was Bob Wagner out in Washington state with the SMARTY JR. Hell I could go on and on - - - - but as I still sit here - - -

I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING IF I HAD TO DO IT OVER!!!!

i would not have purchased a 97 gmc 6. 5 turbo diesel ( though the engine ran like a champ the year i owned it), I would have gone straight to cummins for my 1st diesel experience.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have found TDR sooner in my 97's life and had it BOMBed more and sooner! Would have learned a lot more too...

... I would've bought up about 10 more 12 valve trucks!!:D

HAHAHA, and I would have bought up 10 more 2001. 5 long bed 6 speeds!! And by doing that I would have spent about the same on a new truck as I did on my used truck 7 years later #@$%!

I would have put an idiot light on the fuel transfer switch. Then I wouldn't have pumped 2-3 gallons of fuel on that nice red Duramax on I-80 in Ohio last summer. ;)
