With the right shop, and an inline 6 with 359ci, a 1000hp engine is more than possible.
Just cause the person that owns it isnt all over TDR bragging about it doesnt mean it isnt out there.
By the way TWIN/compound setups do work, there are good examples of that in the SUPERstock class of tractor pulling.
To change the subject a little, it is the MIDWEST shops (Indiana, and Ohio) once again that are pioneering the way for extreme hp(non-street) applications of our precious little Cummins equipped pickups.
