I agree the 11 and GSK doesn't work in some trucks...
I agree with that statement. If you do a search you will find me trying to get help on this subject. Everyone said adjust the lever, move the plate, ect... . I tried everything. Adjusted the gov. springs, checked for boost leaks, adjusted the "secret lever", moved the plate from 1/4 forward to full forward (and adjusted the "secret lever" in different positions... ... ... I tried everything and could make it better but never that feeling that I should. On top of that I knew there was something wrong when I couldn't get the EGT's over 1200 pulling a steep hill, loaded, foot to the floor with only a straight pipe and a mega-cannon for air enhancements. I called Harry at Piers, and told him my dilemma. He said it might be fuel pressure (after checking that), he also said that in some cases the #11 / 4k GSK doesn't work very well (I'm assuming it may be the same for the 3k). He suggested a #10. I installed the #10 andOo. Oo. Oo. Wow. I couldn't believe I was driving the same truck. It wasn't even 1/2 way forward and the thing ran like a scalded dog. I recently changed to a 13. 125 OFE and can't wait to slide it forward a little. But I can speak from experience that the 4K kit and the #11 didn't work in my truck, and wasn't for lack of effort.
