Greetings!

We’ve published a new Smarty UDC software version (1.1.13).

This offers improvements connected to comparisons and Smarty UDC microSD card stability with old Windows OS.

A complete list of modifications is present in our web site. SmartyResource--Home

Thank you!

I went to the link but I don't see any description of what the update does. Can you elaborate?
I know a lot of users did not like what the last update did so this is probably important info for some.

Thanks,
Scott

I want to PERSONALLY thank the guys at Smarty for "Service after the Sale". My Smarty jr, that has been working flawlessly since I bought it in 2007, needed an update. I called and talked to Brian and he told me to just send it to them and pay the postage both ways and they would update it for free. Now THAT is service! That is also why I recommend the Smarty line of programmers to anyone who wants one. THANK YOU!!!

Good morning Scott!

Please allow me to post the direct links for your convenience!

I am not aware of complaints about the last UDC update. However this update dated 12-17-14 will have improvements worth updating to. One would want to update at their convenience.

Thank you much!

Brian

Thanks for the link Brian.
Since it doesn't change performance at all and because I'm happy with the way my SmJr works, I'll probably wait to update.

I will never update my Smarty S67; still on software from 09. I firm believer in if it isn't broke don't fix it.

Where your OEM diff covers broken? Or did you upgrade them for better performance/longevity?

The newer software don't generally fix issues, but provide improved tuning.

I was very happy with my first UDC tune, it wasn't broke at all, but I have made vast improvements in my tuning since then and tOsama tune is night and day better. When I was running the default tunes the updates were the same, simply a better running truck.

John,

I replaced the OEM covers for two reasons. One improved cooling of the differentials the AL covers with the fins dissipates the heat faster when towing than the OEM stander covers will. The other reason is to have increase amount of oil for heat dissipation also, I also change the oil at 50,000 mile interval at both axles.

I want to run my truck for at least 150,000 or 200,000 miles,So the improve covers on the axle and transmission will improve the odds of longevity without failure. But the “SIRENS” of Chrysler have been calling out on the new truck models with maybe a new 5er in the works. So I have asked the DW to plug her ears with cotton and tie me to the steering wheel as we pass by the dealerships.

One reason I will not update the Smarty is that the new programs are not backwards compatible with the ME23 software that I am using.
