Starting Problem (tractor)

99 or 00 Yamaha v-Twin, air cooled criuser

Well let first start by saying I have ADHD, a short temper and …well many issues.

My employer’s parent company was bought by a French company that was just bought by the French government.

My employer dropped our insurance so I had to pull $300 for monthly drugs out of pocket. Problem is wife popped the motor in the ford escort so I did not have the cash for a week and half. Then this past week one of the company’s remote sites was having problems so I had to help them out during their local hours. Since they are in Belgium I had to go to the office at 1 AM Eastern Time but still had to cover my shift so I left daily around 5 PM eastern. Now I have not had drugs for 2. 5 weeks, a sever lack of sleep and no patience to speak of.

I realized just how much stuff pisses me off and how much drugs helps my life, example off drugs I have to sleep in the basement, on drugs my wife will speak to me.

So…. on the first day of no drugs I discovered that the faster people think their car is to slower they are required to go.

Mazda Maita convertible, roll cage, big a$$ wing and 5” tach on hood. 15MPH in a 45. Paying more attention to his bad comb (possible worse than the Donald) over flying around in the rearview mirror than road.

I finally have a chance to pass mr midlife crisis, punch it, pull back in front of him but he punched it the same time and rear ends me. Luckily I have ‘radiator repellant’, 12” drop pintle hook that weight about 95#. Well the cops show up, talk to witnesses, and fine captain combover.

About 2 minutes down the road I get stuck behind a 911 doing 20 in the 45. Around this area there is always a radar trap. 911 got pinched.

Second day of no drugs my boss Direct of Info Tech. decides that everyone IT should be able to multi-task a minimum of 3 projects. To prove this she requires us to do daily time sheets, each time sheet should add up to 24 hours. I’m responsible for exchange email, cisco routers & switches, all servers, network security and some admin on the as400. We also use Lotus Notes email and database, but the two servers are managed by 4 people.

Anyway the director hired consultants to monitor us and our daily routine for a week. “to be sure no one is fudging hours or slacking off”. During this week the director worked ‘normal hours’ of 9:30 am to 2:30 PM. I asked what I thought was a simple question in the wrap up meeting…who checked on the directors time? After leaving HR dept. I asked if I could put this meeting on my daily time card, the looks from HR and Director indicted that I might not be able to.

Third day of no drugs dude at works owns Chevy Avalanche and tells people daily it will out pull anything on the planet. He nags me and the other CTD owner for a tag o war. Well I gave in…chain to the pervious described ‘radiator repellant’ and he tied off to the corner of bumper…near the rocker panel. Hmmmm…. fun is about to happen. I got in the truck put in neutral and stand on the brakes. He drops in drive and punches it. Insert laugh here.

Fourth day…. well I’ll wait to see if any of ya’ like this before I add more.

mjendrejcak, I think your doing pretty well without the drugs. Pressure cooker job responsabilities aside, I would have been stuffing one of those numb nut "associates" in the garbage can.

French owned company? Last spring a well known company advertised via PA's "Career Link" employment agency for workers. The process to apply proved to be a lengthy one with multiple visits, phone tag, etc. In the end, I played more phone tag just to talk to some agency who informed me that I was not being "considered". I don't know but I would bet this company used tax payer money to fund this run around.

That is supposed to be the next phase of the french connection... . we have to interview for our current jobs. With my luck that means a trip to paris to try to talk to people in lauguage were the only word I know is freedom fries.

If there's any way you can afford to, walk out. Quit on the miserable bastidges. Don't even give them any notice - I don't think they deserve any. Then write a letter to the Head Frog across the pond and tell him exactly what drove you to quit so suddenly and exactly what you think of them for what they did to you and your former co-workers. You, of course, use polite language in the letter. Of course, if the French gov't actually bought the company, then you write the letter to the French president, and send copies to editors at major newspapers across Europe and across the US, because the French gov't treating US employees in such a fashion is a matter of public record.

Any company that treats employees as you've described deserves to have all of its workers quit to let the company die. All of its management deserve to be fired on the spot.

There's absolutely no excuse for such shoddy treatment of any employee anywhere.

well a few of us pooled some dollars, hired are own consultanting firm to look at IT management. We should have the report end of next week with a copy going to the CEO here, overseas and hopeful find a warm body in the french gov.

I contacted the dept of labor and luanched a formal complaint, some of my peers are following suite. I also filed a complaint of harassment with HR (probaly hit the trash after I left).

What? You hooked up to the Avalanche and didn't even have a camera with you? Must have been the (lack of) drugs. )

When I think of the fun with the Avalanche, all I can picture is the video of the kids trying to tow the Cavalier off the snowbank it is stuck on.

So how big was the piece of Avalanche you won as a souvenir?

sorry no camera or video. the idiot wants a rematch after the ins. claim and a chip. I'll try video than.

So how big was the piece of Avalanche you won as a souvenir?

just about to whole backend of his truck is still laying on the ground in the parking lot. He drove away with a tailgate and spare tire hanging in the breeze.

I want the rest of this story!!! SOOOOO FUNNY! :D

I recommend not taking any more advantage of Mr. Avalanche... explain to him how torque works, with an equation if you must, and the whole "I weight more than you jackass" routine, and THEN, if he still wants another shot at the mighty Cummins, let him have a 4x4Low power launch with him hooked to his frame. :D I bet you can bounce his head off the steering wheel if you leave enough slack in the chain!

I was think put my 8In c channel bumper back on, have the bumpers touch, use a 50 ft recovery strap... you know the kind that works like a big a$$ bungie cord. That way we could test his racing seats and harness form the tag and the abrupt stop when the bumpers met again.

I take paxill form ADHD, valium for the temper, I’m polish but the Docs say they can not fix that.

So by day 4 my wife is pretty ****** with me waking her up around 3 am daily to see if she is in the mood. I did not see what the problem was I pushed the dog off the bed first. After “I” relocating to my new bedroom until “WE” can get my a$$ back on drugs. I had (hmmmm how to keep this clean) an issue to fix and could not find any Kleenex so I grabbed the first towel I found in the closet.

Next morning I got chewed because I ruined the new holiday hand towels. As I stated I’m polish and there is no fix for that I added that it was partly her fault. I can’t add anything else from that discussion since we all try to keep this site clean.

Day 5 brings up a 4 letter word called work

The IT director decided that the current network storage quota package was not working properly. She took it upon herself to purchase a new package with no support contract pass the first 30 days I received the materials on day 27. Well IT director purchased a package for Active Directory and we are still NT. After 30 minutes of explaining why it won’t work which included a call to the vendor who said ‘you guys bought the wrong page’ I was still tasked with installing ‘before the support runs out. ’ Use whatever resources you need.

Well the notes\email group has server they have not touched in months. I grab the server after they clear it build an AD environment link it to NT and get the package tested and rolled out after about 16 hours of work.

Next day show IT director progress and get in an argument for pulling the server that notes group had in production. We walk to notes group discuss the server notes group verified they said take it. Now they are in argument with IT director. I asked IT director how many people she had in her head, notes group laughed and I was instructed to visit HR again. We now refer to director as an ID ten T error ID 10 T or IDIOT. Hey we are computer geeks and this is about as creative as we get.

Day 6

I hate Lawyers (unless they are TDR members)

At the gas pump dude in Hummer H2 tells diesels are inefficient and a waste of money.

I ask why. He states they get bad gas mileage, slow, no power and cost too much for what you get.

I asked where this info came from, his reply is common knowledge and any decent dealer would have told you that.

‘Oh…. guess I did not go to a decent dealer. What does common knowledge say about the H2. ’

That it is the best off road vehicle on the market. It is the same as the H1 just better priced.

‘What about range rovers or land rovers’

You just pay for the name and get no performance

‘Where did you got all this info again. ’

common knowledge

‘What do you do for work?’

public defender

‘ahh, dreams of granger’

No, that is you wish for a ford…a real truck

‘really, I would have thought that was what you did by buying a suburban with a body kit. ’

no response for hummer boy.

'you must be a great defender' then I left wish I could smoke him (anybody want to donate parts?)
