Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 12 mpg, What the heck!

It's been a long time since I checked my fuel economy, but I check it this week and I got 12mpg on this tank. It's a 2000 QC 4x4 2500. Mods are in my signature. When the truck was stock it seemed like I was getting closer more like 16mpg city and 18hwy. Could the Edge Comp be killing the mileage?

It could be the Comp,I have one and the best I get with it on 1/1 is about 17, 18 when not on winter fuel. My truck has a few more mod than your sig though(injectors, HRVP-44, FASS 125,ATS exhaust man and HX40) I'm running 35 in tires on 3. 54 gears also. I would check your fuel filter if its been awhile, same with air filter. Could always be your right foot too? And in my experience the autos usually get worse mileage than an equal manual.

Don't forget to compensate for the tires...



My truck is getting about 10 city, and 23 highway (heavy foot)
