According to our many dyno discussions, the "correction" factors should make all Dyno Jets anywhere in the country the same.

Therefore, any same model of Dyno as DD, should have legit numbers to compare with.

Slybones said,

,"I believe that if someone wants to claim they have more power that Joe D. then they need to beat Joe at the same event as Joe. "

Why?

Because Joe writes for TDR? Joe has the most power of May Madness, his adopted show. Nobody cares back here. His power is a piece of paper to us, not proven ANYWHERE except on his practically personal Dyno.

Our top dogs play over the entire East Coast, pull or race against many other Top Dogs, but none of them "count" because they don't post, or did not make it to Vegas.

Boy, I'm kinda glad I'm putting out less than 300, that way I can't jump on either band wagon.

What trannies are you guys using... . DOH!!!!

Serious question Joe, for real.

You have got me thinking. . and questioning.

Can you get with DD and get a price quote for a 97 12 valve bone stock, to make 633 hp. Just like yours.

Just the engine.

I don't want any secrets, or itemization, just what it would cost if I handed over a stock engine and picked it up with 600hp.

Gene, why do you really want an engine from Vegas?

Answer the question Joe, and I'll tell you.

I was going to post that, but pricing is a no-no from vendors. You could give it to someone else and they could post it.

Isn't it interesting......

How Joe avoids answering all the questions? Like...

On one hand, you say he only has 403hp. Then you say he is not a street truck. Then you say your 600 is VERY streetable.

How can Daves 400 be such a beast and not street worthy, yet your 600 is a kitty cat?

Let's try this, could it be that Dave has the 600, and it is not streetable, and it is you that has the 403, since it is streetable. Is this good logic?

I'll set up a dyno day at a shop out here. Same day, same yardstick. You game?

Joe I'll do Johnboy one better,I have called my dyno people and got it arranged,,Its a open date, you let me know when you want to come east to play

I don't want any secrets, or itemization, just what it would cost if I handed over a stock engine and picked it up with 600hp.

They're all together now. Go ahead Joe. No need to repeat that story about when you had a hot car and the local thugs wanted to race and you didn't blah blah blah.

Steve, dont let 300hp scare you off, thats all I got and I stuck my foot it in.

SledPuller, I believe I stated why clearly enough. And it had nothing to do with writing for the TDR.

"Everyone who wanted them got free dyno runs at MUNCIE and could line up on the same yardstick. Those who didn't, well they can try next year. Meanwhile, they can't claim an accurate place on that same yardstick from results on a different dyno, different elevation, different weather conditions, etc. Anyone can post numbers, but only those who came to MUNCIE have a valid comparison to all the others who were there. "

There you happy. Now Muncie is the only results that matter and those guys at Vegas are just pouring money down the drain.

Seems to me a few are hung up that statements like above says only MUNCIE results are valid results, and that everyone else across the country is pouring money down the drain. However I dont see where it says that at all. -- The above statement IMO only says you cannot go to a dyno event, run, and then try and claim bragging rights over someone who was not even there.

Seems like many competive events to me. The MM02 winner is the MM02 winner. The Muncie winner is the Muncie winner. The Dyno Days winner was the Dyno Days winner. The Schied winner will be/was (??) the Schied winner, etc. -- The Muncie winner does not have bragging rights over any one else other than those that were at Muncie.

Besides if your top dog is over there on the east coast, what are you so worked up about, ignore it. Personally I dont care who has the most power, I just want to get this stuff off my shoe. ;)

HP

Johnboy3,

From the looks of your signature your Ford should be pretty stout:D, how much HP do you make with that thing?

Rebel, unfortunately not nearly enough to run with the Mitchell monster pullers out here, yet. ;) I haven't dynoed in a while as I'm waiting till I change the stock injectors out, but my G-tech is saying I'm under 400 to the ground. Who knows. :D

OK gang, i think this one has run its course. you are so far off topic now i had to go back and check what it ever was :D

lets rap it up or get back on topic. if you want a Joe D vs. the east contest, then post it in the events forum when you have dates.

thanks,

Todd
