i had a 2002 gtp, very fast grocery getter... . ran 13. 91 with minor bolt ons. 14. 06 consistant! just watch out, the 3. 8 supercharged industry is as large as the cummins parts, friendhas a street driven gtp, runs 11's and a non super car running 13's. and very sleeperish!!!

Thanks for the reply CEpp! I read that those GTP's can run 11's, even high 10's. :eek I think I may be able to keep up with this one, just depends on the driver.

Tweaker, I can run my turbo the way it is with the gate closed. I just cant race anything. I CAN say that the has its snap back and holds boost on the highway, so my boots aren't bad like I thought. I might just bag going up to ND. The main reason I wanted to go was to dyno, and that's a lot of driving for just a half a day in my book. I'll let you know if I change my mind. Would be fun to meet the people at Mikes, and to dyno, but... ... Would be nice to have something closer, or else a bigger event. When does the track open at Grove City? I'll try to give you a call sometime this afternoon.

Tweaker, what are you going to be doing later tonight? Can I call you later tonight? I'm sitting my nieces and nephew right now. :)

My truck dynoed at 503 HP and latter that day I ran a 14. 6 at 96 mph. These were easy runs and I couldn't get traction at the line. The truck weighed 7800#.

TMaas..... Let me get the RDNECK truck going..... We'll have some real fun around your town! I want the left lane in this race! :-laf :-laf :-laf :D

Josh

Thanks Bruce. My calc says 503 HP and 7800lbs should net a 14. 4 @ 93 mph. If you think about it a 14 sec 1/4 is still impressive for a 7800lb truck!

Tweaker, i'll just give you a call tomorrow then if that's all right. Don't want to spoil your night. Maybe give you a call at 10:00 break and leave you a message if you don't answer.

Hehehe! Sounds like a plan Josh!! Get 'er done!! :D Hey, you can line up against the newer WRX that just came into town. :-laf

What's your medicine for EGT control with your setup? Does the 14cm housing help a lot, and is their any more noticeable lag? I know what lag is now, after having the wastegate set where it was. By the time the boost started building there wasn't much of a response to be had with the increase of boost. It just slowly built up. Kind of like accelerating in lockup with it holding, you can try to blow through it but you can't.

Trever

BTW, we should plan an event at Grove City when they open. Don't think I can justify north of Fargo. Been up to Wahpeton and Breckenridge once, nice area.

THe WRX will beat me... . if he can see through the smoke! I've taken a WRX for a beating before. They are quick little beasts! The 4wheel Drifts through the clover leafs are the most fun!

The 14cm housing I have is currently on SpicyJam's truck. I didn't notice ANY more lag with it, and neither does Spicy. It dropped the EGT's about 200 Degrees. Is it worth the $400. Probably not. If I was to do it again, I'd get the non-gated housing. It's MUCH cheeper! (Ive tied my gate WIDE OPEN and I could still over boost the turbo!)

Grove Creek, I might be able to put something together for that.

I just trashed my garage... . I thought I had a spare good wastegate floating around... . Guess I must have tossed it. Sorry!

I've been thinking about using a bigger non-wastegated housing, such as an 18cm, or 21cm temporarily. Any opinions on going this route? An 18cm should be plenty big. Only trouble is finding one.

Note to self 32 oz. of bacardi in the roommate is always a good time. josh has seen me drink and my roomie told me he was gonna kick my butt. AINT HAPPEN. as far as grove creek goes, May 27th is the first "fast and furious" night its $35 as many passes as you can make in 2 1/2 hrs. everything from ricers to mucle cars. great time, they gave me props for runing as fast as i did. i went 14 for 16 that night and raced a power stroke adn a 6. 0 L and cleaned house. my only losses were to a straight up drag car and a rice rocket. so i held my own. well guys im gonna go to bed now till we smoke again.

Nope, just didn't want to bother you last night if you were going out. I'm done with classes for the week too. Think i'll change the fluids in the truck tomorrow. I WILL give you a call before the end of the night tonight.

Well, I don't know how yall are coming up with truck weights, but my truck (see sig) is 6900 on the certified scales without me in it.

If I had a full tank, and me in it, it would still only be 7300 max, and I don't have stock tires, they are a lil bit bigger.

What's the norm for weight from those who have weighed theirs on a certified scale ??

I am giving up a wee bit of weight from the missing muff & kitty, but I'm sure that is more than made up for with the gooseneck hitch. .

When I'm set to pull my truck is around 6900 with no tail gate or spare tire, me in it and aroudn 1/4 tank of fuel. If I have all my CD's, full tank of fuel, tailgate, spare, tool box with stuff in it... . etc... I'm sure I'm up near 7800 as well.
