Hi Guys!
Most of you probably saw my post about the Power Wagon injector install. Next up is the 14cm housing. I went to the search engine and found a lot of good stuff, but I have a couple of questions before I proceed:
1. Does the whole turbo have to come off? Or can I just remove the exhaust housing piece? If the whole turbo comes off, how much trouble are the oil lines?
2. From my research, and THEN taking a closer look at my parts, I see that the downpipe (& entire exhaust system?) gets moved back because the 14cm housing's outlet neck is longer than the stock housing's neck. Is that OK? If the down pipe heat shield touches the heater core shield is that OK? Or do I have to cut and butt-weld the down pipe to 'shorten' it up? Does anyone make a 'short' down pipe?
The rest of the swap appears fairly straightforward, but I'll take any free advice I can get!!!!
