Ok they still dont make any 17" aftermarket rims that dont look like your dads Dually. Chip Foose has the Spank series but not 17" to clear the calipers? ANYBODY know. ?? Thanks Again.

I have also been looking. Try Brentz wheels. Large selection and good looking. He has some 19. 5 forged wheels now. I spoke to him a few days ago and says the 17" will be available in 1 to 2 months. Web address is www.brentz.com

Happy with the stock steel blacks and have two sets for swapping. Not into the bling when I can squander my ephemeral coin on a KORE suspension... . soon. :cool:

Marc

I just now caught your post It's just that I agree with Jeff Clark that everybody seems to be using 19. 5's instead of the 17's if they were available. Living in Ohio I would think polished aluminum or chrome would be your last choice. I have already have given my blood sweating away cleaning the polished aluminum wheel even here in So California. Those things used to dull on me even in the fog :{.

What I would like to see is a 17X7. 5 or 17X8 Dually wheel with thick bolt flanges. This would allow wider and taller tires while maintaining a flat profile, without using spacers, without going to 19. 5's and heavier tires.

... . And Speaking of Chip Foose, did Charlie leave Boyd to paint a Car for Chip? And will Boyd let Charlie come back???

If you are persuaded to go to the 19. 5s, I would suggest keeping the 17"s for winter swapping. That way you don't have to stop that rolling mass on slick roads. Something to consider :)

Well the ride of the 19. 5 is some what stout, and to change out 6 insted of 4 could be easier on the wallet. as far as cleaning the chrome, The truck is mostly driven in the warmer, no snow months, so that isn't a issue. It allways seems what you look for can never be found, But the second you buy something different than what you want there all over the place. :{

Nick - The spec sheet I have for that wheel is a 4. 5" Offset, not a dually like the rest of their line of Dually wheels, and they don't list a front/rear wheel.

Still looking... ...

i didn't see any spec's for them on the weld racing website, but it was listed under the F1 fordged on piece dually series so i just assumed it was a dually wheel

Charlie did go work for Chip and Chip's entry won the Riddler Award, I assume with Charlie's paint job. Charlie kept saying he wanted to work on a hotrod that needed to be done "right" not "right now". It seems he got his wish. :)

I'd let Charlie paint my truck!
