Well your gauge needs to be calibrated. There is no way that your EGT is reaching 1,750 degrees Pre turbo. I floored my 01' going up a hill in 90 degree weather all the way up to 100mph with 2 motorycycles in the back plus ramps, fuel, tools, etc (Figure about 700-800 pounds) the highest my EGT gauge got was 1,300 and that was only for a few seconds. At 1,750 degrees even for a few seconds you would probably have done damage to your pistons not to mention the turbo.
