Afternoon you all. Just an update. Been busy doing some refurbishment on the cab. Thinking of selling the LTa10 engine snow fighter pkg. Any interest? Maybe the while thing....maybe.
Our 16-71 gen sets will wet stack if not run against a good load. So will our Fairbanks Morse Opposed piston. Let them idle at the dock an when it’s time to get underway she’ll fog out the harbor.
Had this Oshkosh unit roll through the maintenance shop last week. It’s got a 60 series Detroit for the truck and a 8-92 Detroit for the blower. I hope that it being here is Not a sign of the Winter coming .
Cool stuff is a understatement. This new job is still evolving...Have a major re-power scheduled to start next month. Taking the Fairbanks out and installing a set of 710 EMD 12 cylinder engines.
That’s fantastic. Any way the your employer would let you occasionally photo the process and maybe you could run a thread on here highlighting the job?
Where is that Fairbanks headed? I think it belongs in a museum.
I’ll post what I can. I’m not sure how much time I’ll be in the shipyard for the project. The old Fairbanks has to be destroyed as per the grant agreement. We had planned on displaying one of them at our terminal but we cannot.
Afternoon. Here is what I'm thinking. I was thinking of selling the snow pkg off the Unimog. All controls, Cummins engine with bonnet and Wasau TS-4 head.
