Hello Mr. Schwarzli! I've been directed to come to your class by the Principal! He says I cause too much trouble for Mr. HHhuntitall and Mr. Nyoest.

So since I'm starting in the middle of your session, Why do I see everyone with cut fingers? You know very well knives are not allowed in class and the Principal was right there at the door when he brought me here.

Since I missed everything Mr. B, how does this scissor contraption work? Is this how everyone cut themselves by having their fingers in the scissor mechanism when it closed?

Ah! Is this the switch? (pressed button) (bzzzz! whirrring)(crunch!!) UHh... oops! Mr. B, I think I broke that Doormat or whatever the scissor-like contraption is called. Got any of those handy-dandy grey roll of whatever tape? I think it can be patched and working again. So no hard feelings there, Mr. B?:D:-laf:-laf

Jw. Welcome to the window frustration club. ;)

To get the vent window out, start with window rolled up. Pull speaker. Drill out window stop at bottom of door so window can go all the way to the bottom. Then slowly lower window till she regulator arms pop out and or you can slide the window front or back.

Make sure you remove the Phillips screw on the top of the vent window frame and also the bolt at the bottom (about 6" from bottom of door, 6" from front of door you will see a recessed area with a bolt in it. This is on the side normally covered by the door panel).

Once the window is down and out of the regulator, pull the two dust seals. Also peal the weather stripping where the window top sits into when in closed position, peal it back about 6". Now lean vent window toward the back of vehicle as you slowly work the main window out of the vent window track. Then push vent window slowly toward the interior as you slide up ever so gently. Watch for binding.

Now it's out. Also a note from experience, don't tighten the Phillips too much when reinstalling. That old brittle plastic does not hold much tq anymore. ;)

Mr Ray. Please stand in corner for 200 hours for showing up late. Then you will have to donate time fixing everyone's windows. Then you will understand. :D

Cuts are actually from the sheetmetal inside door. It's all sharp edges. Nothing was filed or cleaned. Straight off the sheer. :(

Yeah I know how that feels as I work sheet metal everyday making your replacement mufflers for all your gas cars and trucks. We wear gloves and still stuff happens and we get cuts, even through the gloves.

Ah, the comic relief has shown up... ... Don't worry about the principal. I think he ran and locked himself in the office when I showed up, calling animal control... ...

Hey, Robert, do you have the windows in your crew yet? Just curious... ... :D

I actually wondered this, but never thought to ask you... how hard is it to get the '85 window switches to work with the '92? Cut and paste? Or will they plug in? My '92 donor didn't have power windows..... but my '85 will... . if I don't cut myself and get mad and rip the whole door off... . :(

I'll be missing the fun of HH getting #@$%! And ripping doors off as I'm sitting in the corner for 200 hrs, for being late and wrecking bschwarzli's scissor contraption. Oh make that now 176hrs to go. :-laf
