Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 1997 47re transmission issues

Hi,

Posting for my boss, he's got a 97 12v with a supposed to be built transmission.

Guess he was driving and shifted into natural at highway speeds and when he put it back in gear nothing, no forward or reverse. Guess the fluid is still pink and park still holds the truck.

Was thinking maybe something like broken output, but with park working and clean fluid seems weird is there some other common failure with these?

All mine are sticks so I am at a loss, but figured I'd inquire to see if anyone might have some insights

I would start small at say the Manual Valve maybe popped out of its slot.

Look up Goerend on YouTube they have a video on the manual valve and rooster comb deal.

Park I feel is mechanical so that should work if the shifter cable is connected. Which since you have it is.
