I bought my truck new in 1999.

Turned 227,200 miles yesterday, did an oil and filter change today.

7,000 miles on this oil, and I can still read the letters on the dip stick.

I really like this truck!

Nice. . . looks like you are bone stock and drive with an egg under the accelerator pedal. . . LOL. With the 6 CTDs I've owned (12V, 24V and 2003) the oil always took longest to go dark on my 24-valves. But by 5K on my current '98. 5 it was definitely darker than that.

Met a guy recently w/445K on his 2002 auto CTD. Totally stock, tires, transmission(amazing)no box,no towing. Guy is a produce importer who commutes to Michoacán,Mexico and all over down there and back to here. A couple of IP's and many stock lP's but other than that nothing major. It was in for a head gasket leak that will be scheduled in the near future.
