Ok you guys... listen to Brad... he's a specialist in things like this... .

..... psssssttt... Brad, are they bying it ... ;):D ???

Well kids... . I suppose I gotta go tell Piers what day it's gonna be so he can get ready... . like anyone can get ready for a bunch of 1st Genners ... . NOT... . :D:D:D

I'll try some are twisting on the 2 day issue but it' s tough one... keep in mind it means that the entire shop will have to give up their weekend and that means we'll be "working" 12 days straight. Hmmmm maybe we can have a 'lunatic day' or something... . I gotta make some calls to the qualified folks if we do that... . now were did I leave Dave's and Bill Caldwell's phone number... . ;)

On the other hand no one ever said we'z to bright... ;):D

yeah - I have to put on sunblock on it if it gets real hot and sunny out. Keeps the peeling down to a minimum.

Of course the rusted out area is right over my head.

If MRickards truck is the competition I've got this ugly thing wrapped up. I just looked at his pictures. His truck looks nice. The EPA gave me a warning a while back and now I have to carry a bucket and a broom to pick up the paint chips every time I hit a bump or slam my door.

Hey, no "orks" allowed at social events!! They can get into your heater vents and stink up the place as they rot. they're kinda like "drelbs", you know, like when you pull your couch away fron the wall and you see all the drelb eggs. Now those little buggers can drive you nuts. They hide tools when you're using them, they'll loosten screws on your trim, plus, they can and will hide your keys.

So, no "orks" or "drelbs allowed at this event. Anyone found sneaking one in will be givin a 150rwhp penalty and forced to hold Pastor Bobs que cards.

As Yogi Berra once said, "Include me out". My busy travel season commences mid July and goes to September-I get as far north as Billings, and as far west as Fresno, but no Canada. Would be fun though!

TTT... ... . we are on track for the 31st guys.....

We/I'm working on a thing or two that will provide some variety for the day.....

We really want it to work out well for ya'll since some will be driving a fair ways to get here...

You can ge some info from map quest on accomodations and so forth if you plan to bring a trailer or camper.

If you need help with this, let us know and we'll see what we can do to fill in the blanks...

Ideally we'd like to open it up around 9:00 AM and go until we are all too tired or we all give in to age..... :D:D

Some of the things on the agenda will be;

1) wrench twisting for those who want some help.

2) hoist time if needed

3) parts if needed/wanted ... (though this is not a "sales" event. )

4) maybe a couple of different awards ( the exact items/catagories are not yet finalized. )

5) We may also do some dyno runs if there are enough guys willing to do it. We will need to ask for a small donation to cover PDR's cost to run it. The last time we did this we asked for a $25. 00 donation that all went to charity... maybe something like this is in order.

6) we're working on making sure that we have the guys to run the dyno to... . mark will be away that weekend so we have a challenge or two to deal with...

7) maybe we can have a bit of 'driving competitions. . ( just thinking out loud here... )

I"ll make more available as it arises but for now, that's all I have.

I am REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING/MEETING YOU ALL !!!

pastor bob...

Sounds good to me Pastor Bob. I defiantly would like to put mine on the dyno to see where I am at. I cant wait to meet everyone and to see who has the bragging rights.

Stomp

Bob,

Thank you for getting this organized for the first gen truckers and a big thank you to PDR for hosting this event.

July 31 works for me.

Pastor,

How about some info on where to stay locally, etc. Trying to decide if we bring the wife and kids and make a weekend of it, or go solo. I go to PDR for a day, and they can go visit... the aquarium or something!!

Hey Mike,

Ya you gotta make it up bud... . I'd really like some chat time and also have you set the benchmark for the day...

We are really looking forward to having a good turnout. If this works out well, we can be almost certain that it will happen again next year. Each year it should get better and bigger... . It's just nice to have the 1st Gen guys competing with each other for fun... .

Lock93: If you want to use map quest for your routing instructions we'll try to round up some locations/motels/hotels/trailer parks for accomodations for you all...

pb...

Hope you can make it up Mike... :D:D

How about an ugly truck award. That's the best I can hope for with all my paint falling off.

RonA

You'd have some competition there, bud, along with Stomp, and a few others. I have no paint, plus the bed is coming apart (thank you, MO, and your wonderful roads...:rolleyes: ) Still aint made up my mind. I can get the time off, but can I really AFFORD to take it off? It would be nice to get a baseline reading, and chat with all the other inmates of the "institute. " Might have to caravan with CB Parker, as his place is on the way;). IF he doesnt decide to leave me behind with his superior gearing.

Daniel

Hey Guys... .

First, thanks for all the efforts to attend this Second Annual 1st Gen Open House... . it doesn't work with out you all... . we will focus on the 1st gen trucks for the entire day. Just have some fun and get to know the faces and the names... . :D:D:D

Just a tad of an update...

We are still trying to nail down one more guy to help run the dyno. Because it is a long weekend here in BC some folks have plans as you can expect.

Anyway, we hope to run the event from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. These will be the official hours for the event.

As noted we'll do our best to dyno those who want to run, but it does depend on one or two more folks giving up their long weeked.

I'm going to start a "confirmation" list in here for those who are confident they will be attending. Please check the list as I assemble it and update me as to your status if you are not listed or, listed incorrectly.

Thanks... .

PB.

I will be coming up. Someone needs to lead(stomp), someone needs to bring up the rear and pick up all the pieces that fall off all these old trucks(RonA). Any recommends for a motel near PDR?
