23 here. I've had my first gen for about a year and a half, and it's been some real good times. Couldn't be happier with any other vehicle.

Like Jay Leonard sez, you have to grow older but you don't have to grow up. I've got loads of great memories and I'm filing more away every day.

Never had a diesel till I was 60; sure missed a mess of fun there, but I'm making up for it now.

Oh, yeah, 64 last November.

I'm 37, and I got my first 1st gen when I was 27. I'm on my second one now and even though I could probably swing the payments for a nice new truck I don't see any reason to. Have any of you "spied" in the 3rd gen forum lately? It's filled with "turns over, doesn't start". Those guys have all kinds of problems... I like the simplicity of a mechanically injected diesel, no computers to mess up, and with a few well placed "bombs" almost as much power as a 24 valve HPCR motor... not to mention a good first gen is about $30,000 less than a brand new truck.

32 years on the ticker. I have always had an affinity for these trucks... . Kinda like the rock music I grew up with, it always puts a smile on my face. I also am very partial to 60-66 chevy trucks, of which I have had a few. I am working on a 235 swap on a '46 chevy right now. I bought the Dodge, for two reasons... never liked the 94 body style change, and the price. I couldn't justify the money for a new one.

I'm 28 and like the looks of my truck. Finding parts is a pain and I would like a quad cab, but until I feel like paying a lot more I'm good with what I have.

I turned 37 a little less than a week ago. My truck belonged to my father. The odometer read 247k or so but he said it probably had over 400k on it because the speedometer rarely worked on the last few years. Here's a testament to the condition of the truck... it still has the original clutch and the shop said that it still looked new! Way better truck than my 90 Toyota 4X4 V6 xtra cab with 126k. I am satisfied with what I've got, but my brother just put in new injectors in his '99 and I kinda like the way it pushes you back into the seat.

I was 29 when I had my 1st gen. That was last year. It wasn't much but it was my first Cummins. I had to go from the '92 to an '01 so the Wife and three kids could enjoy the Cummins. But I miss the simplicity (and the smoke!) of the '92. Maybe when work settles down and I feel like turning wrenches again... .

18 with 25 years of experience :D (43). My cousin bought it new and I drooled over it until he got tired of hearing me ask "ready to sell it yet?" Had 193k on it and original everything. Signature says it all :-laf

wonder what the total 1st gen age is... ... . hint hint

Heck Bob, we don't want to know... but my guess is that if you and I add ours, ... . well, we'd probably qualify for a couple of those plates they give out for mile-age... :-laf :-laf
