I will be 30 in December. I love the rectangle look to the 1st gen body ever since I bought my first truck. A 1988 D150 short bed 2 wheel drive V6 5 speed. It was a sweet looking truck in fire engine red with a 3" body lift the previous owner installed. I still miss that truck.

I also like owning older stuff becuase I think vehicles had more character back then. Not just the cookie cutter looks most cars/trucks have now. This is evident in that my 92 D250 is the newest vehicle I own at this moment(not counting my wifes 00 car and the 99 truck i sold to get my diesel).

Chris

92 D250 CC

74 Mazda rotary truck

83 Mazda RX-7

P. S. JApplegate I disagree that imports suck you are just working on the wrong ones. Try a rotary powered mazda they are simple, and fun.

I dunno J but I don't miss being 16. Its a whole lot more fun for me not having to go to school!! I'd go back to 21 for a while, but I can't complain. When I was sixteen I was driving a diesel, but it was wrapped in a VW Rabbit, yuck! I'd get to take out the 93(when it was dad's) but that was when it was stock and had muffer. On second thought, that was prolly pretty wise, it was bad enough it has a tight limited slip, and could power slide it anywere uptown on weekends!

Drivers License says I'm 53, but I sure don't feel it! Still climb tree stands, run up and down hills and rocks pulling winch cables and tow straps, and scoot around on the ground and climb all over my trucks maintaining, upgrading, and yes, repairing them!! Love every minute of it!

I've had a diesel since '99 - all late model rigs. Until last year! Got tired of a big lease payment and found a sweet & clean 91. 5 W250 last spring. Love it! I'm just geting around to some upgrades!!

I can't quite say for sure, have to do the math, lost track about 29, oh hey I'm 32, er I think any way. love my first gen truck and the lack of a payment, first time in my life I have owned every vehicle in my drive way outright!! Can't say I wouldn't take a newwer truck if someone offered to give it to me! but for now I'm just happy to have a CTD to pull my camp trailer so I can take my kids camping!!:D

59 in June. This is my second Dodge, my 1972 sits out back and still runs as good as it ever did. This 93 is the most maintenance free rig I,ve ever been around. John W.

my mom bought a "outback". i know now why imports suck... . i can't fix them!!!:(

i bought my truck from my friend and "HE" has a broken trans. and it cost alot to fix but it is worth every penny i have to put into it.

i love old tractors and trucks (they are easier to fix) i'm in the process of expanding my collection (this isn't cheap)

but i still won hehehehehehehehehe you guys can just wish you are my age

jim

Looks like we do have a winner! HA! I got ya by 3 years your elder! :D

Just turned 27.

My grand father drove dodges and worked at a Dodge dealer for 30 yrs. So i guess it was kind of in my blood.

I got mine with 103k 5 yrs ago and wiht 208k now the only question is to runin it or move to another first gen with a front axle and that extra shifter in the floor. I need a 4x4.

I would like to extend my thanks to young and old that have shard coments, ideas and stories on this board. It has make the truck even more fun to own and run.

38 here. Actually bought the '01 first. Bought the 91 a little over a year ago to play with and bomb. But I like driving it and use it as my daily driver and just leave the dually to do the hauling.

Later,

Wayne

I'm 40 (couldn't pull off the 29 thing any longer:rolleyes: ) My 90 was purchased new by my grndfather, then my dad got it from him, then I bought it from dad. Best hand-me-down I ever got!

thanks dpuckett. it's changed. don' t want the Pastor to get mad at me. there was a reason that i fail spelling spelling in 6th grade. (we don't learn much in school) i've learned more working on the farm.

Just 41. 5 here. Been driving mine (or working on it) for almost 2 years. Spent the last 9 months driving dads 2001. 5 HO. His is a nice truck, peppy, but loud. Cant wait to get back into my '93/'84/'82. Sure do miss it.
