I guess no one is paying attention to this thread anymore...

i am (and this is my first post)

have not finished reading this thread yet but i agree with your post above the one i just quoted (page 3?)

you guys ought to list everything

if you dont want to (or cant) advertise then dont list the cam manufacture and part # but atleast list the specs!

(duration @ . 050 and lift) i will find someone to grind it...

so far very good reading, a little confusing (considering i just got my first diesel, it is already modified, the guy that modified it has had a stroke and cant talk, and my background is all race gas, race gas w/ nitrous, alcohol, or nitro)

what is a p7100?

is the 'p' like the old days and that designates it a direct connection part number?

you guys need a legend, or whatever it is called...

the thing that describes what all these damn abreviations mean!

when i read your signatures i am lost...

keep the info coming, i will figure it out sooner or later, probably ask a lot of questions in the process. repetition is the key to learning, unfortunately...

ps - maybe in another thread i will try to describe what he (bob s. ) did to this truck and what i have done since aquiring it?

"what is a p7100?"

A P7100 is the Bosch Fuel Injection Pump out of a 2nd Gen 12 Valve truck (1994-1998 early). It's a Big Long Mother of all IP's, with 6 in a row Pistons. It

can be set up to flow an enormous amount of fuel. To put one in a 1st Gen you would need a pump, the timing gear, the gearcase (I think you would have to pull the Cam to change this :{ ) , A bunch of brackets, Mounts, wiring, Shut off solenoids and stuff. Moose 00

Hey Tank! Welcome to the club! A p-pump is the inline pump used on the '94-'98 trucks. Somewheres on here is a thread with most of the letters, acronyms, abbreviations, etc. The sigs are who we are! :-laf

It's not to bad if you pull the VE pumped engine and drop in a complete 94-98 P pumped engine back in it's place :)

Don, welcome to the site, you'll be reading forever :-laf

Oh yea, here's some definitions Don...

ps - fuel pin... hummm?

I'll be looking for the new thread. Just picked up a '91 350 automatic yesterday. I'd like to get it up to a reasonable amount of power without destroying the transmission and without spending much on mods. I suspect that 250HP at the flywheel would be around the limit. So the question is , what mods will get it there (or to the 225RWHP level) without overshooting the target? I'm really not interested in 4" exhaust, K&N, etc. Just want a moderate increase without trouble. This is a 160HP stock engine at this point. I've got a well equipped shop and could handle about any mods, but just don't want to get crazy and start breaking stuff on a work truck.

why has no one responded to this post?

it has been sitting here for 2 weeks...

I'm guessing because all his questions were already answered at the begining of this thread and that most of us don't look at this thread as it was put up as a sticky so that people could look at it, if you have specific questions they should probably be asked in a new thread.
