I'm not sure what you refer to as Geno's... . you mean the Eaton K1444 filter kit? Then yes. The little guaze media filter that used centrifugal force to feed the filter off the PTO plate..... they catch a lot of small pieces, like the brass off the synchros that a magnet won't...

I've looked at other transmission filter setups, even using a pto driven hydraulic pump to run it through a filter..... I've been gonna try to see how much pressure the centrifugal force would generate. I'd love to have a cooler out off the side of the transmission, with a filtered return... ... . :D The Eaton hydraulic pump would generate a LOT of pressure, and would pump all your oil out in a few seconds if you lost a line. And it would have to have a pickup built into the PTO plate, and then a return where? The other plate? And then, would it have to be directed with a nozzle of some sort to keep it from washing out a bearing or splashing up to the top of the case and leaking out the vent? Or could you use a pressure regulator, lower the pressure and keep it from flowing so much? I know I'm not the only one to want to do this. The bigger Eaton trannies have pumps built in, like on my Versatile's, and they only run 20-40lbs, but feed the huge bearing setups front and rear through the case, externally. Damn. Now you got my mind going again, Bschwarzli!!! I don't have time for that!!

You bet!! You'll have to remind me later in the year!!! I just forget. It's hard, keeping the planet free from mutant wanna-be-robot aS*holes... ...

Yeah, I hope some do show up. I can show you how to BBQ one with it's own batteries!! Works good, makes it a bit tough, as it cooks a little fast..... Canucks? Well, the meat tastes funny on those..... must be the Polar Bear poop in the water... ...

The 17th, huh? Hopefully, I'll be around. We get pretty busy with branding that time of year, but we're pretty short on stock, due to the drought, so maybe we won't be working that weekend.

Speaking of drought, you got any friends that have any good coastal type hay for sale? Small, square bales for horses? I don't need 'em, but I got a buddy that needs some.....

Coastal? Coastal? Coastal what, like sand at the beach?

Just kidding. I bet there isn't any coastal grass except maybe ina flower bed or prarie plot in the entire state of Missouri. We have fescue and LOTS of it. Horse folk here seem to use brome (sp?) and Timothy. A very few have alfalfa but most of that is large squares. I've got some fescue and red clover round bales but what little I know about horses is fescue isn't good for them. If you do find any hay around here holler at me though, i could make a run south pretty easy.

Who's gonna make the oil pan?!?! The bottom steering arm has to go somewhere..... on my Maxiwedge, I've got a Hamburger pan with a hole in it... ... but that's in an "A" body car... ... wouldn't the Cummins be better to have at an angle for height relief and torque angles for launch?!?! Hmmmmmmmm... ... ... ...

As a side thought, I'd wager the exhaust would be easier to deal with than the Maxi-wedge!!! No going out through the inner fender wells!!! But the engine's gonna sit too high in the bay.....

I said coastal "type"!!! Which meant Timothy, Orchard grass, or brome... ... Most types of fescue are fine as long as it's not fertilized too heavy and the protiens too high. You can't feed it to pregnant mares..... I don't feed the alfalfa as the energy levels are so high my younger horses try to kill me!! :-laf I'm not scared to make a trip to MO, I've already been up twice this year. I just thought I'd ask. Most people have enough for themselves, but are selling it if they don't need it. I don't need any, but I've got friends that do, and if anyone's gonna screw 'em over, it might as well as be me! :D What're friends for?!?

Shows ya what I know about grass and horses. I was always better at fixing the hay baler than running it.

Proteins in the fescue could be an issue as well, lots of turkey and chicken house spreading litter here. They skip some but generally get it on about four ton to the acre. Have you ever seen driveshafts twisted out of a rotary mower???!!!!!

Ugh, yeah, the litter could be an issue... . it'd have to be tested. Cold weather, it wouldn't be a problem, I'd wager.

Uhhhh, yeah. I've got a John Deere 930 MOCO I sold a while back that I twisted the shafts out of twice!! Once, I turned sharp while cutting the thickest sudan any human has ever seen!!! The second time the shaft just bisquit-canned!! Too much hay!! We made 500+ 1600lb bales on 178 acres... ...

As for a rotary flail mower, yes, I bought a brand new 16' Rhino in '07, and they had the wrong gear boxes in it. The two outer 540 boxes were being run with a 1,000rpm box in the center!!! I never found one of the shafts, and the other was in pieces, looking like it was melted and then chunked sky high!!!

I twisted the one in my 6' mower when I hit some big fire-ant mounds a few back, too. Had to beat the pins out of it, and pull forward to get the shaft off the tractor!!!

YEs, I thought of that too. Maybe a hood scoop would help with some of it. But if a slant fits in a ram and a C, and a 440 fits in a ram and a C, should work. I think. :D

As for oil pan, maybe a dry sump would work for that.....

Well, there's a p-pumped 24v on the stand in the back of my shop..... and the Dart is pretty accessible..... I may just have to take a measure!! :D

Hi guys! Been lost on projects and the family thing for a while. Just so darn busy i haven't had time time to get on and be my usual PITA self. :D

Helpful idea, start a new one each year, makes it easier to follow things. ;)
