Good day all you wise people who appreciated the Ram/Cummins combo before the rest of us

Now while I feel quite comfortable under the hood of an ISB powered truck, I am behind when it comes to the B5. 9. So I am seeking greater wisdom from you BB members.
? What source would you recommend to supply the parts or a kit to add an intercooler to the non-intercooled 1st gen truck? What is the best procedure to accomplish this feat. What parts would be necessary? Intercooler, intake elbow, connector hoses, clamps.
I understand that Banks has something to offer but we are not interested in their kit since it comes with some stuff we don't want.
We are experimenting with a 12cm2 exhaust housing on a 1st gen truck. What have you all discovered with regard to exhaust housings. I understand the stock setup is 18. 5cm2 and I don't think going to a 16cm2 is enough separation to provide the boost appreciation one might want to create. Knowing my truck came with a 12cm2 I would think that would be the way to go on a stock engine. Opinions anyone? Answers? Home remedies?
