How do you adjust the 2-3 shift? I have a trans-go shift kit installed and it shifts from 2-3 almost instantly dropping the RPMs way down out of the engines power band.

I curred the 2nd gear start problem with the search but was unable to find anything about adjusting the 2-3 shift WOT and normal driving.

Sounds like you need to adjust the (TVC) Throttle Valve Cable, the cable that goes from the throttle to the transmission.

Make sure the throttle cable is working by having someone lay under the drivers seat while someone else push the throttle to the floor. Watch for the upper linkage to move.

Other than that it sounds like a valve body problem. Or a governor problem. Either of which will require a trans man.

I would call Bill Kondolay. Who you call is your choice.

I'll try the TV cable adjustment... . I did that earlier to adjust for the "high" shift points at WOT, 3000? fixed that 2700 now, but I'll try adjusting the TV again.

I have a 95 with the RH..... I like it better! This "electronic truck" is kicking my butt.

If all else fails I guess I'll have to buy a VB. I did the Transgo kit thinking that will work; it did on the 95.

Got the 2-3 shift thing fix under normal driving but still have the instant 2-3 shift WOT:confused:

Internal VB problem?

TPS adjustment? is there even away to adjust this thing?

What year is your truck? Which spring did you use on the TV valve? Sounds like a throttle pressure issue. Have you taken a line pressure reading? While the TransGo kit normally works well, I think you would be happier with a DTT valvebody. The valvebody is built for your truck and it's use. You can e-mail me if you have any questions.
