I have been away from the fuel filtering issue for over a year. So I don't know the current system that is considered best or a good way to go, What is the thinking regarding the Air Dog and are there any better filters for it?

Thanks

Considering I worked in a gas station for several years, do not EVER assume that the pump has a filter. None of our's did... and I highly doubt most do as it is an "un-needed" expense.

And, even the big name stations don't always have filter... the Sunoco's on the PA Turnpike sure don't, as I have gotten sand in my prefilter from them (and a Love's too)...

Some are located inside the dispenser's housing, while others are located external to the housing and readily visible.

YUP - the only ones I have seen (naturally!), are the external ones that the dispensing hose attaches to - but even then, all you actually SEE is the housing - is there REALLY a filter element in there, what is it's filtration ability, and WHEN was it last changed... ;)
