20" rims....

Hey Fast Enough.....

They are some "SERIOUS BLING BLING" rims... . really sweet looking. What are they... and where are they from?????????????????????????Oo. Oo. Oo.

They are American Racing Kahuna's 20x8. 5. The wheels fit great and ride and handle awesome. I have no complaints at all. The tires are performance looking but still have a M&S rating. Of course they are not an all terrain but I am sick of looking at all terrain tires going down the highway all day. XcumminsX I would do what you want, just do your homework on the brand and style and fit of the rims. Also I will take some pics of the ARE cover from the back. I don't have to worry about hitting my rims either due to the fact that my tires are 12. 5in wide and 32in tall. Anything will rub the tires first. The tires are rated at 3086 a tire. I don't mind AT tires I just wanted something different. I want people to admire our trucks as much as those underpowered gas guzzling Hummer H2's. :D

FastEnough, Nice set up, 20's with the right tires don't look too "pimpy". The Dodge Ram 1500's use optional 20's from the factory and they look fine. Sorry about the Ford link, I thought it might give someone a perspective. The tires I had on the Ford were Toyo,s 325/50/20 M&S. The wheels and tires were rated close to stock . 3000lbs+ ea. They worked fine in the wet,I never used them in the snow. However, "I've been there , done that" and I'll just keep my stock setup on the Dodge.

FastEnough those look sweet!

What are the offset and backspace on those? How far do they stick out beyond the body? Do you have any problems with rubbing?

I have looked all over for wheels that don't stick out too far because of the high offset Dodge uses. I couldn't find anyone that made a wheel that would retain stock offsets on the 2000 and newer Rams. Yours looks pretty good.

Can you take some more pics from the side so I can see how it looks?

Thanks,

Vaughn

I might have read these posts way to fast.

At first, yall are scrutinizing XcuminsX for wanting to run 20"s, you see a pic of a Ford, then say that's ugly, then FastEnough comes on and now you like them?

I'll say I liked them from the start. 20"s are cool, especially with alot of rubber. Stock rims are only rated for like 3,200. (Atleast on my '98. 5 3500)

Hey guys,

I really did think I'd get on here again, and I would have to have my flame suit on. Thanks for the civilness (Is that a word? :) )

Heh, XcumminsX, Coolest tire I saw was Sunday. I don't know how many inches of lift it had, but it was WAYY up there,, it made 7" lifted trucks seem small. It was Running 38x16. 5x18 tires. The tire was similarly proportinioned (rim/rubber) to my tires, 36x14. 5x16. 5

I think if you got alot of rubber, say 33"s on a 19 or 20" rim it would look very nice. Besides, don't most of us use 4wd only at the track anyway? :D

BTW, I did talk to an interco rep Sunday also,, they have a 49" tire on I think an 18" rim... Interesting. .

Let me get this straight. You bought a 6500 to 8000 lb. truck with four wheel drive, to put 20" rims on it. In my honest opinion that is just treating that truck wrong. These truck were built to work, and yes mine does every day of the week. I honestly can not stand to be at the pump, and see some guy in a suit and tie (not that there is anything wrong with wearing a suit and tie to work) getting fuel, and when I ask him what all he does with his truck, he just looks at me and says "I drive it to and from work, and that is about it. "

I guess I have a 04 Dodge for sale. I didn't buy mine to work. I drive it back and forth to work every day. I have a Freightliner to pull my trailer with. I had plans to flame it, put a decent stereo in it, dress it up a bit, and just drive it, but I don't want to treat it wrong.

mcummings, the tire you are referring to is it a brand new tire? nitto is making a new mud tire that is supposed to be released this winter. I believe it is a 38" tire and only available in that size at first. hopefully other sizes we can use will be available soon after.

I want to find out more about it but haven't been able to yet. I e-mailed the company but they could only provide the size and availability for winter.

I can't remember. I was much to busy talking with Maddog, David Lott, Dennis Perry, Dr. Performance, And a ton of other great guys to really pay attention to the wheel brand on the Lifted Ford V-10 F-250. I think it might have been Nitto. If you get me a picture, I could tell you. I'll see what I can find.
