That right there is funny!!!

Is it just me, or are HS girls total knockouts right now?? Is there something different in the water?? They didn't grow 'em like that 20 years ago.

Oh man. Young girls get me in trouble with the wife. :-{}

A woman at work has pics of her daughter in her cube. I said to her the other day, looks like you have a graduation in your future, she said yup, sure do, 8th grade... I said, sorry... (tail between legs slowly walkin away)

Yes, they grew them like that 20 years ago, probably your eyes are changing... :-laf

20 years ago the girls wore twice as many clothes and half the makeup. It was always a good time picking up a girl at a pit party in the winter. Pealing off all the layers of clothes to find out what kind of surprise was underneath. Sometimes you just didn't know.

I could make a really dirty joke here, but I'll leave it alone. :-laf

Had my 25th this past summer. I found myself more interested in going this year, so I went. Even though I now live only 30 miles from my high school town, I hadn't gone to any of the reunions prior to this one.

I think there were about 60 of us there from our class (about 90 total including spouses). Our class was about 550 students. The 20th had more people, they said. I guess I thought they were all big at this point, but maybe the 20th was a bigger number to a lot of people. That may have been the big year for the ones who picked one as there first one to attend.

There was only 1 person there whom I'd seen in the 25 years since graduation. None of my old running buddies were there - which didn't surprise me, I guess. But I made it a point to talk to as many people as possible - whether I really knew them or not. A lot of the time we admitted to each other that we couldn't really remember if we knew each other in high school - even if we remembered each other.

I found people who were in different social circles than I to be very approachable. I think at this point the bond of going through high school together fades the memories of groups and cliques. The ones I enjoyed talking to the most were those in the same boat as me - their first reunion. It was definitely a different experience for those of us who hadn't been back in all those years.

Some looked like they just walked out of the yearbook. Others were unidentifiable without their nametag and a yearbook to look at. I'd be in that category - I'm down about a foot in the hair length department. :-laf

There were about 20 pictures on the deceased board, but I know that number is way off. Heck, there have been only about 5 names added to that list since the 10 year reunion, so I know it's off. We already had 4 names on that list before we even graduated. The list of the missing (don't know where they are now) grows with each reunion. I'm sure some of those on that list are deceased.

The mind blower of the night for me was seeing the homecoming queen. I just couldn't believe it. She was the most beautiful, 100 lb girl in the school (not just our class). She goes about 200 lbs now. She still looks nice - she's in no way a slob or anything - she just looks like a 43 year old woman who's had a couple of kids. It's just the drastic change that blew my mind. Her husband - also a classmate - looks like he just walked off the graduation stage.

Overall, I was glad I went. It was fun. I wish more would have been there, though. I'll probably keep going to them, but I don't think my wife will go next time. It's boring for a spouse from another state.

Another good source of contact information is the Yahoo groups. There's a group for my class there. That's where I got my first info about people who were interested in the reunion (before it was announced).

Well Big, I'm not as old as you ;) but I know where you're coming from. I have direct TV and they had a free view concert of the "Go Go's". :eek: Damn, Belinda Carlisle looked like some kid's mom who should be on her way to soccer in the mini van... ... and it just seemed like yesterday when I was a kid lusting after her... ... . :(

Well, Belinda went to HS in the same town I did... she graduated HS in 75', so that puts her at about 50 yrs. old... so I guess she's doing pretty good if she is looking like a soccer mom... at her age she could be a soccer grandma!
