I think the transmission in my truck is starting to slip. I am wanting to maybe change to the newer six speed auto that is out in the newer trucks. Should I expect a lot of trouble, or can this be done. who in Texas can do this. :):)

I'm sure it can be done. I think it would be more cost effective to have the present trans done up right by one of the aftermarket guys. Of course I partial to DTT, but the others offer excellent products as well. Do your homework. . .

a dtt is fine if you are prepared for multiple rebuilds bill's#@$%! and a voided warranty if you mention anything about there faulty parts on the internet

I also would do as suggested and look at upgrading the existing. I also am partial to DTT, however as has been stated there are others with good products as well.

I had the opposite experience of the previous poster. My front pump went out(I didnt know that was it at the time) while on vacation in the middle of nowhere. Called Bill late that evening he walked me through some stuff over the phone. Figured out the closest repair shop 250 miles away and he overnighted the parts no charge and picked up the labor bill as well. While I was not happy about the trans with 10k on it going south I couldnt have asked for better service nor could he have done anything more than he did. Now 120k later still going strong with no problems.

Customer Service speaks multitudes ;)

There's a shop in Texas that sells DTT transmissions. He sells other aftermarket transmissions as well. He considers DTT the better of bunch.

Call DTT get the Phone number of the shop in Texas and get the low down

on whats available. I have been happy with my experience at DTT.
