Interesting schedule change today. I got an e-mail from my broker today, saying ETA at the dealer in Oregon is September 29th. A couple of days ago (see my last post above) I was D1 with a scheduled build date the 1st week in October. Heck, it must already be built if it is going to actually be in Oregon in 14 or 15 days??? I will try to call DC again tomorrow and see what they say. Maybe things are really humping along in St Louis?

Do you think DC finally got wise to building ordered units like Rams and PT Cruisers will help their quarterly performance more than flooding dealerships w/ other lines that are inherently slower moving because they weren't sold before they were built?

I'm just glad to see it myself, I'm w/ Shelby, "BRING ON THE RAMS!".

!!GRADUATED!!

Keep the faith guys, mine was delivered last night at 1600. Only found one flaw, small 1/8" spot of missing paint on the front air dam. When I found it, I asked for a bottle of touch-up paint and they obliged but they had to order it. #ad
Guess INTENSE BLUE isn't a normally stocked color.
No other problems noted, drives great, straight down the road and the 6-speed shifts like butter. I LOVE IT... . and to think I've ONLY been waiting for 134 days. #ad

Congrats Mick. Look at the bright side, if your original order had gone through you wouldn't have received the disc brakes and other small enhancements. All in all though, it's about time huh?

Well, I am built!!!! I called this AM, and I was G (Trim) with an estimated completion of today 9-15-00. My broker who alerted me yesterday to the 9-29-00 delivery date also said his information shows being built on the 14th, so I guess it must be true. It has been so long since March that I have taken the attitude that I will see it when I see it. Kind of amazing that I went from D1 for the 1st week in October to built all in the same week. Ya Hoooo

E-Brake goes on @ delivery time, Bed comes off and will be replaced by a custom aluminum work body / flat bed. Ordered on 03-28-00. Re-ordered on 08-08-00 (at least I got a VON already the second time)

Status KZ and going on the trailer. Built in St Louis and delivered to SW Indiana. Not using any rail so hopefully not much more than about 10 days to get it to me. Ordered 8/26 Delivered by 9/26 ???? 4 weeks to good to be true. #ad

Seems like they're gonna be delivering alot of trucks over the next couple of weeks. I ordered mine on 9/5... called on 9/7 and was told I was D1, scheduled to be built the 1st week of October. Called again on 9/11... same story. Called again this morning (9/15) and I'm a G! Painted and being trimmed... scheduled to ship today, but she sait it will probably go out on Monday. Wow! Nine days from order to being built! Is that a record? I'm thrilled it's on its way... I don't think I could have waited the months that many of you have waited.

ordering a new 2001. 5 and live around
or near the east coast I recommend the
following dealer: "Smith-Stokes Dodge"
in Reidsville, N. C.

I was up there about three weeks ago
and could not believe the inventory
he has. He had several with the 6-speed
transmission, and different configurat-
ions. I realize he may have sold alot
of them since then but it may be worth
a try.

Some interesting developments with MY order... My actual order date was 091100. Called dealer today, they say ship date of 092700 and got a VON. Called DC also... DC says my truck is to be built 2nd week in Oct. at St Louis (uh oh!!!) and is currently D1 status. DC also gave me a VIN for my truck.
My question is... doesn't something have to be on the line before you get a VIN??? I figured my truck would come soon because of ETC and DGP, but getting a VIN makes me wonder. It just can't be built already! Just impossible!!!
So... we'll see if I go with the dealer's projection #ad
or the factory projection #ad


Truck is ordered as 3500 4x4 AT Sport and everything except leather(I hate leather in my current 97)

Time will Tell...

By the way, any info on the $1000 discount that ends 100200 or somewhere thereabouts?
I've heard once you get a VIN, you are in! Anyone hear anything else?

I've heard the same regarding the rebate, but I've also heard that it's dependent on financing date, not vin date. Not sure which is true.

I talked with DC on Friday and was told I was built, painted and trimmed, sheduled to ship that same day, but it would probably not go out till monday. I called today and they told me I'm on restriction for the 6spd! Amazing. I guess I assumed that once you were painted and trimmed, the transmission was already taken care of.

My truck is sitting in a rail car on a stationary train in a town adjacent to the drop lot. Apparently their is a power problem with either the yard or the line along the way to the yard?

Two Days behind schedule, but close.

Oughta be out of here by week's end.

Back to pacing about the waiting room.

EagleEye, It is my understanding that Your truck is assigned a V. I. N. sometime in the "D" status from the posts I have read here. I called D-C friday and was told a build in 1st week of Oct. , I was given the V. I. N. also at that time, Dealer called later that day and said they expect to have it mid Oct. , hope it's so.
As far as rebates go I think they have been extended out to 2/28/01

There is a problem building up down in Texas. So yes power is in high demand as always. They sent some people from Omaha down to the offce in Spring to try and sort it out before we have another service crisis in that area.

Eagle Eye, I ordered on 8 Sept, and got my last 8 vin #'s about 10 days later. I called DC this morning to see what they had to say. "I'm scheduled to ship to dealer on 2 Oct" Mind you when we placed my order I was told the 6 spd was on restriction. I'm gonna try to be patient, now where did my valium get off to #ad
