From what I can see, looks like DC is raising the PRICE of the base model from $28,365 to $28,765 msrp. Also, looks like option increases also. #ad

Anybody know what the charges are with codes A48 Los Angeles-PPA $160 and D48 Los Angeles-PPA $305?

Eagleeye I had the same thing only it said St Louis Outstate - PPA. The dealer told me that those are the advertising costs. We're paying DC to advertise to us, Go figure.

I guess I was real lucky in the timing of when the order was placed. DC has rolled a lot of these trucks off the line lately. Well its time to get back to staring at the clock waiting for 4:00.

I have a question about rail carriers, all the links on the "Ram Order Status" page appear to be for rail lines West of St Louis,I would like to know what rail line would be used to ship trucks to the North-east, specifically, Syracuse NY.

Things are moving along! Built on the 14th and or 15th and left SL and currently on the train moving through Nebraska. Should be in Portland @ 08:00 on Sunday. The dealer said the 29th about a week ago (before it was built) and it looks like that will be very close to correct.

E-Brake goes on @ delivery time, Bed comes off and will be replaced by a custom aluminum work body / flat bed. Ordered on 03-28-00. Re-ordered on 08-08-00 (at least I got a VON already the second time)

My baby(s) have arrived and it's twins. It seems the June order was not cancelled and they have arrived two(2) day apart. I find it difficult to bring both home. If anyone in the Baton Rouge, LA area is looking for a HO with a 6-speed, they can contact Salsbury Dodge and talk to Brian Stucky. It is a quad cab SLT with 3. 55LSD, towing package, camper package, new style towing mirrors and power drivers seat. Oh yes, the color is white with agate interior.

You need to get the rail car number and carrier from DC customer service. Who's taking it just depends on which way you're headed out of St. Louis.

Just got off of EM shift and called DC. My ship date is today 0927 and build date is 2nd week in Oct. Checked status... still D1. Talked a bit more with service advisor (Ron D. ) and he checked with a friend at St. Louis.
My truck is ROLLING down the line to the paint shop (status code F)!!! #ad

He also gave me ship codes, depots, trucking co. , etc. This truck is on the way FAST!
I have read the horror stories and can relate, but in this situation, DC has been TOP NOTCH so far!

OK, now I need to find gauges (EGT, trans oil temp, manif PSI) ASAP. I have checked ISSPRO and AutoMeter sites. Also looked at other setups and gauge mfg's. I've also searched threads. I will probably mount a tri-pod on top of dash. I am looking for any likes/dislikes in any setups from this group. I currently run Banks gages in a bi-pod on A pillar. Any suggestions?

I may be happily graduating from this thread sooner than expected. #ad

Ps. EagleEye... Why the trans tem gauge... not much you can do to cool it w/o adding an Tilton gear oil pump and an oil cooler. Just curious.

<font color=blue>Any railcar traveling west of the Mississippi River will be carried by Union Pacific. We have the rights to transport all of DC's car's/trucks west of the Mississippi River. Out east its kinda a toss up, you have CSX and Norfolk Southern being the two major railroads and then dozens of shortline railroads too numerous to name.

If you have trouble find your railcar on a UP train let me know a railcar number and I'll track it down. Yes you can to the Public Equipment Trace from the UPRR website, but I can do a "better" trace even from home on it. Hope this helps answers some questions.

Just picked up my white 2001. 5 2500 SLC Quad Cab,long bed, 2WD, ETH/DEE, 3. 55LSD, Trailer tow, Camper package, Fog Lights,Electric Seat,4 wheel disc brakes,TT mirrors, Diamond in the back, sun roof top ... .....
Clutch pedal pressure is a lot less than 2000 5-speed. Trying to get the 5-speed mindset inproved to the 6-speed. Old habits are hard to break. I hope the mileage is as good as the 22-23 that my 2000 gave me, but if not, the power will soothe me.

When I go back to the mountains, it will be nice to have that 3. 5 gear and torque to climb with when those gassers force you to a lower gear.
