I 'know' there are some well-connected folks on this list. Can someone please keep all of us "on-order wannabe's" informed as to the FIRST POSSIBLE date we can order our trucks (again)? #ad


My dealer said he would watch for a D-Mail but if past experience is any indicator, I will have to notify HIM to let him know when he can place the order. #ad

My ETH was ordered 5/25. I checked with DC and they told me that my order past the audit but had to wait until production started in August. Bottom line is that it is ordered. I would suggest that you call DC and find out the straight scoop.

Ron R, I suspect your order is for a 2001 model. I ordered one on 5-16 and it should be here any day. I just called a dealer and he told me it should be another week or two on the Ram 2001. 5 orders. Hard to say, you know how these guys are.

just called DC today and was told trucks will be built on 7-05-00 and again on 7-26-00 . ordered mine on 6-01-00 and called dealer today to get a VON# and was told DC hasn't accepted any orders from them. when i ordered it i was told the 2500's where the ones on hold ,,not the 3500's which is what i ordered,,(3-6 weeks you'll have it) yea right!! i guess i have just became a member of the waiting club

Has anyone heard anything new about when we can order? My dealer claims that they have no idea when DC will begin to accept new orders. #ad

I am getting the same story from my dealer. He is trying. That is all we can ask.

It would be good if the first person that gets an order to go through reports it on this list. Then the rest of us can call our dealers and get in line.

my dealer also says he tries every day to get the order in. i cant understand why DC wont accept it. whats up with them??? they know when they will start building the trucks, you would think they would let at least the dealer know. i want to believe the dealer cause like he said,,,( i want paid too !! ) and dont till i get your truck.

I agree, they 'should' be putting all the orders in sequence. I've been TRYING to order since 4/28. #ad


In one of your posts, you stated trucks would be built on 7/5 and 7/26..... exactly what did that mean? Only taking orders those two days or is that the start-up dates for full-size RAMs?

UPDATE: When I spoke to my dealer, he said he will continue to attempt ordering my truck but will increase his efforts to twice a day since they have NO WORD from DC on when they can resume normal truck business at the dealership. This must be a real pain in the A** for dealers.

Pete,
I talked to my dealer today and he told me it was Monday the 17th. Did you talk to a dealer or DC directly? If it is the 10th I do not want to lose a week.
However, I am going to look at a truck that they have coming in. It is pretty close to what I ordered.
Does anyone know what the changes are to the 01. 5? Other than the disc brakes.

Ron, this is from a good friend who works for the dealer and is sitting on a few truck orders for customers. So he got it from his direct link to the factory who in the past has always been dead on about rumors and such. Regards Pete
