2001 w/40K should I retorque head to 125ft/lbs?
I am running a little propane and nitrous occasionally and have heard that cylinder head bolts could be torque to 120-125 ft/lbs to try and save the head gasket from blowing out. I know I really need an o-ringed cylinder head. I went to tighten them yesterday and found a rocker arm in the way of one row of bolts. Is there a short cut?
Al with Peirs said that if any of the bolt feel like they are stretching, replace them. So I guess you can reuse some of the original bolts even it they were intended to be used only once.
I am leaning to tightening them vs. letting them be. Any advice?
