2001 Window hop

My driver's side window hops when rolling up as if it is grabing on something. It seems to catch worst at the half way up mark and appears to be the inside rubber strip on the door. Will silicon fix it without leaving a residue on the glass? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Salvo. . the good news is if you need service at the dealer it goes to the body shop not the mechanic side... .

Silicon works great for your problem. Spray on both left and right tracks, cycle the window up/down a few times and wipe off over spray.
