Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 2002 Auto Transmission cut out.

HI guys I hope you can help out my buddy with this. He has a 2002 auto with an EZ Edge on his truck. If he tries to stall it out a little it starts cutting back the power. I've heard the the 2002's do this, some sort of saftey feature for the trany. Is there any way around this? He is planning on upgrading the trany in the future and throwing in some stage 4's and a Edge Comp Drag box. But if the trany won't let him stall it out, what's the point?



Who would build the best transmission for him? Next to no hauling, mainly just a toy truck.
