Well after all the hoopla here is the new truck... They added a whole 3 INCHES tothe cab and now try to make you think it is a 4 door. For 3", I'll stick with my 2000, it looks WAY better any how...

sorry , i said it on the other thread , but the hood and grille resign make it look just like a SUPER DOODY #ad
but this is the 1/2 tonner , will have to wait to see what the BIG BOYS look like , but if it anything like this i'll be stretching my 2000 for 4 REAL doors #ad

I know the doors look small, but the rear fits a six footer comfortably (me). Head room and leg room are fine. The regular cab has an impressive amount of space behind the seats. You can tilt the seats back at quite an angle if you desire. Things I don't like: steel bar running along bumper from rail to rail that reduces approach angle. I think this is to appease those that think a truck's bumper should be at the same height as a car's bumper. Small sliding rear window that you can't get your shoulders through. Dashboard.

I'm content on keeping my 99. At the time it was the best choice. If I want to continue to bomb it more, it's still the best choice.

If and when I decide to get a true crew cab diesel, I'll evaulate them "all" again at "that" time. Not married to DC, I think they all make a great product.

After seeing the truck in person I'm impressed. The front is very cool a great evolutionary change. the back iks good. The sides are a bit blan. Maybe with some warn flares and molded running boards thing would be ok or CUMMINS in big letters on the side would work. I do have one ? I wonder how much work it would be to put that front on my 99

What made me buy my First Ram (my current one) was the distinctive look and the Cummins. I don't think you can say the new one has a distinctive look which is what put the Dodge Ram back into the game to start with. Prior to the "Big Rig" looking body style the Dodge truck was at the bottom of the sales charts with something like 7% of the market. Perhaps they now have enough notariety to sell anything they put out but I think they will loose market share in the long run.

Just spoke with a electronics trouble shooter at the St. Louis plant last night. he said they ARE Building them as we speak. he has seen more than a few come of the line and get loaded up for the proving grounds. he also informed me, they will be on sale late this year, september time frame. think what you want, but i am already making provisions to dump my 01 Q-cab as soon as i can order the new crewcab.

They are not coming out with the 2500 and the 3500 till the following year from what I have heard.

I will either go to the gasser or sell the wifes junk-burban and build a crew cab out of 95+ reg cab.

I hate that thing (suburban)and It sickens me to have to go anywhere in it.

Like the headlights. That would be about it. Nice pictures though. Wife was standing next to me as the page loaded. She said "looks like a ford, are you sure that's a Dodge?" Hmmmm, hey Dodge guys, if my minivan drivin wife cain't tell, do you really want to do that? I like the new headlights with the twin beams in there. The oblique view from the driver's side rear corner does look like a ford.
