Ed-An extension is mounted on the end of the pitman shaft, then a bracket with a bearing that mounts to the frame and runs under the steering box. The bracket utilizes the bolts that hold the torsion bar to the frame, so no drilling is required. The nut that hold the pitman arm is removed and replaced by the extension. The bearing is just a common 1", replacements can be bought at any ag dealer, NAPA, etc. We have a 1 ton with 120,000 miles on the original bearing. The play in the shaft is eliminated, because it's the bottom bushing or bearing that wears out.
We have sold this to people with completely worn out boxes to ones with new trucks so that their's wouldn't wear out. Not one complaint.
Price is $195. 00 plus shipping. UPS, Postal Service, Purolator, Loomis etc.
I don't have any pictures yet, but will have by next monday. (been selling locally, didn't know we'd have any long distance requests) Web site will be up soon also. Will E-mail pics.
We also manufacture a replaceable bearing fan belt tensioner pulley, rear wheel hop eliminator kit, turbo to exhaust pipe extension to go in place of wastegate when putting on non-wastegated turbo and various suspension parts.
