The upgrade tire is a BFG Rugged Trail in a 265/75-17. BFG's are good tires, but that one is cosmetically nothing special. Might as well not pay extra, and go get what you can find when you get it.
FYI, I ran a set of BFG ATko's in 315's for a week, but for one thing, they came blackwall only which I don't care for, and were just too "big looking" for my taste. They did fit, however with no rubbing on stock steel rims (waiting for those too). I traded back out of them for a set of Pro/Comp 33x12. 50's. These are just nearly the same height as stock, but considerably wider. This is the best I can get by with until the badly backordered BFG 285's are available.
