Does anyone have the turbo specs for a 2005 3500 HO? *I'm trying to find out what model turbo was stock and what psi output was stock. Thanks.*

HE351CW is the main designation. Stock it was limited at 30 psi by the programming but quit capable of high 30's boost when uncorked.

when i drove the truck with a computer hooked up it was putting out 36psi in 2nd gear and 45 in all the other gears. *does that sound correct for an HO model?

45psi is asking for problems with the stock compressor wheel. Sounds like the waste gate actuator is either disables or plugged off. Surprised it isn't throwing a code.

If it is stock and unmolested, whatever scanner was not adjusting for atmospheric correctly from the map sensor. 45 psi is the max the MAP sensor will read and that is 14 psi of ambient pressure plus 31 lbs of boost, totally normal for a stock truck.

Electronic gauges are great for ease of use but when they don't work right they confuse, a set of analog gauges will help you translate the numbers correctly especially boost. They are zeroed at 14 psi so you read actually boost not absolute pressure like the MAP sensor.
