C. Fish, I dont think you would like my set up. I listen to my radio at about a volume of 19, this is loud for me. With the ipod going I have to turn the volume all the way up to 38. At 38 the sound from the ipod is about 17. So that you know I am using a TERK XM DIRECT smart digital adapter .

Brian

Brian, THANKS for the update... that was the reason I was asking. I wonder if an FM antenna type plug in gain amplifier would work to correct the situation?? You know, the kind that plugs into the antenna run, but maybe you could plug it into the sat. antenna run, or convert the leads to plug into the converter that you have?

Just an idea.

Well, HERE IT IS. I googled the part # and found out that it's a mopar part and DEFINITELY works with the radios listed below, THOUGH some people have complained of occasional problems with the RB1 and RB4 Nav units.

These are the radios--
RBK --05091506AC/AD/AE/AF 05091556AF
RBP --05094468AC
RAH --05161262AA/AB 05094564AB/AC
RBQ --05091507AE 05064038AA/AB
RAZ --05064042AB/AC
RB1-- All RB1 Navigation radios
RB4 --Unit works but controls are limited. NO operating instructions for the RB4.

Also works with U-connect AND steering wheel controls if you have them!!!

Here is a link to a dealership that has it for less then the ebay site, though no free shipping. Still, I'd rather buy it from a dealership since it IS a mopar part. --

Mopar iPod™ Integration Kit

Thanks Hansonj75 !!!

I have the same radio in my 05. I hooked up my ipod using the interface from Logjam the P. I. E. chry 02 aux and the rca to earphone adapter. The radio does not dispaly the ipod information and the ipod does not charge when hooked up. I like this set up better then the fm transmitter because I never have have issues with fm stations overpowering the fm transmitter. This set up works well for me and was the cheapest route.

Well, I decided to go a slightly different route since I also need Bluetooth for hands free cell phone use. I found reviews on these units from Parrot are both excellent, AND they give FULL iPod control and info through the remote keypad and screen.
'I will give an update after I recieve and install it.
