2005 Taurus headlights

I need help with my girl friends ford.

The head lights won't come on with the switch. It does NOT have auto head lights.

She drives with the brights on for 3 minutes or so then dims them and all is ok. Flicking the dim to brights does NOT help.

A few months ago the left head light was out. We changed it, and the right went out. Tonight we changed the right and the left went out on the way home.

Anyone have any advice?

Now I've had fun with you - - check the dimmer switch (in the Dodge its a Smart Switch) for contact and ground problems. The light burning out quickly could be from handling it and getting body oil on the glass.
