I need you to bargain for me the next time I purchase a new turbo. I have an 04 and an 06 and no matter how I conjoled or brow beat the manager, I couldn't get free oil & filter changes. This was the fourth truck I've purchased from this same dealer.
How do you do it? Can you give us any basic suggestions/guidelines?
Respectfully

FLynes said:I'm looking at my gold credit card I got, and all it says is "Service Contracts, Daimler Chrysler Corporation". Then under my name and VIN it says, "Maximum Care Upgrade". The plan code is MCX7100M, if that helps. It's good for 100,000 or 7 years and has a 0 deductible.

Bow66tie said:I bought an extended warranty for about $1,200 through Kendall Auto here in Oregon. Once I got down to the fine details after the purchase, I found that it was through an insurance company, not DC. I went back and complained that I had been misled and wasn't to happy about it. They gave me some nonsense about it and I told them to cancel it since it was still within the 30 days grace period. Man they were p****d off!!!
Anyway, we just figure the money went back into savings, collecting interest, and if I ever need it for repair work, I'll pull it out and pay it, without dealing with some moron on whether or not it's covered. And if I don't use it, I'm that much further ahead!

"I've often wondered if I got a fair deal on my extended warranty. I purchased the Platinum, 6 year / 100,000 mile, zero deductible plan from my dealer for $1557. I didn't realize it at the time that the company, Fidelity Warranty Services, was not a Daimlerchrysler product. Anyone have experience with this company and/or what a competitive price is?"
