I have a 2006 with 89,000 miles. The truck is not a daily driver. It does run weekly but not everyday. This truck will intermittently have an extended crank when starting it cold. Once the truck has fired it will be fine the rest of the day. I change fuel filters at every service. I also run a Stanadine additive. My thought process is leading me to believe that I may have a bad injector. I am thinking that one of the injectors may be leaking and not letting the rail build pressure quickly. However I don't see a puff of smoke that I would expect. The extended crank last another 3-5 seconds longer than normal. Any thoughts? A friend of mine that has an 01 says he runs a quart of trans fluid with every tank and suggested that I do that. I just don't know if a common rail can handle that. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
