Ok Who is at All Truck Nationals ?
No one is here... ...
We are all a figment of each others imigination.....
All Truck Nationals were as big as ever and Saturdays showfield could not be covered at one time. I have never seen so many trucks in my life at one place at one show. This show is a great time and should be put onto each and everyone list to attend. The "Big Rig" area was HUGE and I have never seen that many rigs in for it. The late afternoon Saturday annaul rendition of their "Musical Train Horns" could be heard from one end of the show field to the other. The Dorio owned "Rollin Transport" soft sider built by the "Chrome Shop Mafia" was a piece of art that had to be seen and heard to appreciate it. There were lots of sweet rides but this one had it all, looks, killer sound and attention to detail. There are some shots of it in my photo album and trust me when I say they do not do it any justice.
Lloyd and CJ came in to attack the dyno in the competition sponsored by Bullydog. Hmmm, they found out that Bullydog had zero to do with the dyno competiton even though they and Carlisle both advertised it as such. Lloyd was over 650 and CJ was in the mid 550's in the 100 degree plus heat and made very fine showings. Lloyd went back and dyoned on Sunday and laid down a respectable 679. 5hp/1090. 5tq. Nice job fellows on showing Bullydog how well your Non-Bullydog equipped rides run.
A couple of odds and ends...
-Has anyone figured out how many friggin eggs were on the breakfast sandwhiches from the Carlisle High School Band booth. Lloyd,CJ and I all think these used eggs from a goose.
-Lloyd has also became a stock holder in the State Of Idaho after making a grave mistake and saying the word "large" at the french fry stand.
-How can a major sponsor and big vendor Like "BullyDog" sponsor a dyno competition, post it on the Carlisle and BullyDog websites and when the day comes, they say... ... . "OH NO,we have NOTHING to do with the dyno event at all"... Shame on them and this writer hopes all diesel owners know just how much we all mean to them when it comes time to buy parts for their trucks.
-Can anyone explain to me why the owners of dropped trucks, which drove by all day all weekend long, have no respect for others show vehicles. Nothing like working in the 100+ degree heat detailing to be judged and have a dropped truck go by scraping and sliding throwing dust and rocks all over the place.
-I have never seen Picaso's(HighFinance97) truck so detailed and looking sweet. Michael needs to make sure his detail man gets a exta large steak for the hard work making it shine so well.
-3. 5 hours in a drive through judging line was ridiculous.
-Has ANYONE found the M. I. A. 6BT-Dakota yet?????. Maybe a photo placed on a milk carton would help find this missed and lost soul.
All in all,a great show and a good time was had. Here is a link to the photos I took during my short walks both days... ... Andy
