Diesel Power Magazine recently dynoed a 2010 2500 4x4 with the 6. 7 and automatic. Are these numbers about ballpark or are they on the low side?

I read the same article in Diesel Power. Keep in mind it is rolling on 35's. The article doesn't say what gear ratio the truck had or that they regeared it due to the larger rolling stock.

gearing wont make any difference on hp, torque yes, hp no. hp is the time it takes to do the work.

now big rubber will suck up some more hp but not that much

I just took my 2010 3500 Crew LB DRW 4x4 6. 7 CTD 6 speed auto w/3. 73 limited slip with 3600 miles and fresh oil & filter change (Rotella T 15-40) and completely bone stock to Dyno Days last Saturday at St. Joe Diesel to get a baseline on it before I start adding some goodies to it and was almost "FLOORED" when they gave me the results!!!! The best of 3 runs was 291. 4 hp @ 2650 rpms and 755. 4 ft lbs @ 1600 rpms!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it and asked them if that was correct and they assured me it was... The weather was raining with 100% humidity, dew point of 72* and temp of 76 degrees. I was just going through all the posts to see if anyone else had Dyno'd their 2010 6. 7's yet...

I have a copy of the dyno sheet in both PDF and JPG format but I'm not sure how to add it on a post...

Very interesting post. That's a lot of Torque! Wonder if that's what I'm putting out too...

I would suspect the dyno and/or dyno operator. It seems that some of these chassis dynos are very "suspect"... .

Yep, I agree. Also check to see who buys the biggest ads in the magazine Ford, GM, or Dodge... there could be a hidden agenda. It's a common practice in the "slick glossy" magazines to make their biggest advertiser look good.

Right after I bought my "FAT BOTTOM GIRL";) <---( no disrespect to any women out there. ) I noticed an exhaust odor coming into the cabin when I would be slowing up to a stop or while sitting at a stop light but only seldomly so I took her back to the dealer and explained what was going on which was found to be an exhaust leak coming from the EGR valve on the passenger side of engine that would really leak when she would go into passive regeneration. Thank GOODNESS this truck doesn't seem to regen as often as my 08 did!!! Anyway, long story short, they replaced the valve assembly and the mechanic told me he flashed the computer with a new code that was out for it and said it would make her run a little bit better which it seemed to do for a 8,030 lb. (had her weighed on scales with a full tank of fuel only) stock truck. I cannot find any flash update sticker anywhere on her so I don't know what the flash is for. She has a production date of 01/20/2010.
