It's a manual transmission, 4x4, 3. 42 ratio, CC/LB. It has had Bridgestone Revo 2's 285/70/17 for the last about 20k miles. The speedo is recalibrated.
On long highway trips up here at altitude (5000-7000') in the mountains, I used to get 15-17 mpg max; now I get 18-21 on those same trips. Around town, I used to get 10-14; now I get 14-19-- really depends on driving style. I bet at lower altitude on flat highways I could break 21 mpg. I use only the "mild" tune on the Mini-Maxx. I don't want to toast the stock clutch quite yet. I have towed a 3000 lbs trailer on "mild" and got over 18 mpg going up into the mountains and back.
To put the truck back to stock I would have to put the DPF section back in and tell the Mini-Maxx to program the truck computer back to stock. It's more of a hassle than anything. I contacted two local dealers who are cool with modifications as long as they did not cause whatever problem the truck develops.
Even on the "0" (no additional power) setting, it runs like a different truck.
