A coworker wants to delete his EGR and keep his DEF. Truck is a 2013 W2500. Auto. If he can delete it, he doesn't want the check engine light to come on. He doesn't have to worry about smoging the truck. Any info would be great.
He will have head gasket problems. the EGR provides air volume to help absorb the pressure spikes. There has been allot of post here and elsewhere about the connection of head gasket failures associated with the EGR removal. I myself have suffered this on the last truck I had.
