A option I had not considered ...just keep driving it? Am I hurting it? DPF ? truck burns VERY clean at the moment ,is it possible the DPF will never clog? I'm keeping a eye on pressures . Has anyone cored out a dpf and reinstalled, so it looks like all is stock?

I wouldn't advise it! Once you remove those items, you've bricked your truck. No legal shop can work on it, no dealer will take in trade and if for some reason you've got black smoke coming out exhaust, you're a target! It's easier to get the items fixed. Plenty of us on here with many more miles and still stock! I'm around 160K and stock. If you get caught without, big fines and then the cost to return to stock. Your choice on what to do to your truck, but your crossing into the realm of darkness and debate!;)

First off, the Edge products won't actually trigger a regen...regardless of what the menu says. It's for some models, but not all.

Are you certain it's not doing a regen? Unless you live at interstate speeds or towing it's filling the dpf and needs to regen. It will regen every 24 hours of engine runtime, and if it doesn't then it will set a code.

What is your DPF delta pressure at hot idle?

DEF and NOx have nothing to do with regen. SCR deals with DEF and NOx, while the DPF deals with particulate matter.

Personally I would not delete it. When you go to sell it you will likely have to put it back to stock, and fix the emissions system then.

I couldn't agree more with everything being said.... If you want no emissions buy an 04 or older (kinda wish I'd kept mine!!!).

I have been driving it with CEL for a few months now, it uses no DEF but won't go into Regen

I would not recommend to ignore the CEL and as has been stated pull the codes, many here have likely been there done that. Some times the code can direct you to the problem and you don't want to make something worse by continuing to drive it. I will say on my 2020 the dealers told me to keep driving until drivability issues presented (I had a underboost code which eventually presented more codes and I was limited to almost no throttle). Finally I had the EGR valve replaced at 10k miles. As for the modern trucks, problems occur and usually can be fixed reasonably if you are mechanically inclined and capable. Providing it doesn't set a hard code, most can be cleared, or will reset after the culprit is repaired and enough miles / ignition cycles are completed. IMHO its only a matter of time before nobody will look at a deleted truck, dealers are already not taking them so as the TDR montra goes, Your truck... Your money.

Started out with two codes P2BAC,& P2E09 I do think the NoX sensor went first? The deactivation of the EGR sounds good to me ! These trucks have many issues ,and although I like it I wonder if ts all worth it .. still have a open recall for tie rod that I'm pissed about but keeping a eye out for.
I thank all who responded . Ill try and get a updated "Hot" DPF DELTA pressure today and post latter ,but its low or at least it was.

Don't you mean Drag Link recall?

Clean the def injector and the hole where it goes first. make sure the resistance between the two pins is around 11-13. Put it all back together. Crank it up and see if you can hear the def pump clicking while the truck is running. When my pump went out I didn’t hear the pump ticking every few seconds.
My def injector was clean and resistance was 11.3.
Had codes p208d. P20e9. P20e8.
Replaced def pump. It is all good now.
Mine is a 2015 also. 79,000 miles

I don't post much so sorry for taking a while to get back to this ... this is good advise and Ill try this soon I hope . I'm at 143000 miles , The DPF pressure is .25 psi at hot idle and under .45 psi towing a car trailer at highway speeds this past week , The injector nozzle has rusted nuts but the studs seem intact it seems this will be a PIA to get off without damaging the studs ,we will see?

For the mileage I would say those numbers indicate you are completing normal regens.

I'm not seeing the regens on the Edge INsite II I monitor the exhausts temps as well and always know when regen happens , I "think" the truck has not called for one because the DPF pressure is low "don't need it"? I tried on Thursday to force a regen through the Edge diagnostics page "long highway trip pulling trailer " it would not initiate, so it does look as though "AH64id" is correct . As long as the DPF pressure stays low and truck runs as well as it does .. am I hurting the truck driving it in this condition? I say no but their are smarter people on this forum then me . Truck continues to get 20mpg HW empty , and pulling the car trailer Thursday "about 4500lbs?" I know very light load, I got 14mpg on the trip , I use the gas buddy app for all my vehicles to keep track of fuel usage . I'm very pleased with the truck performance , I hope I'm not damaging it by driving .

The engine will call for a regen every 24 hours of engine run time, regardless of DPF level. I have seen the initiate after 24 hours and 0.00 DPF back pressure at a hot idle, several times actually.

If you only monitor EGT1 you will never notice a regen based on EGT's.

My dad has a CTS2 in his 17 and says he has never noticed a regen in 35K miles, yet I have seen one in his truck. They are hard to notice if you don't catch it right away, and are often less than 10 minutes at highway speed.

If you don't initiate a regen for some reason you will get a regen code, which you're not. NOx is separate from regen.

If you want to initiate one manually you can initiate a stationary desoot with AlfaOBD. I did one yesterday prior to my oil change.

Thanks for input ,I do have the Edge CTS2 and monitor Regen status and when it tells me Regen in progress the EGTS get very high ,I do know when it happens.
A picture I pulled off internet not mine but same

Can you give provide the steps in the AlphaOBD to initiate the dresoot? Thanks!
