I just got my 2015 Laramie DRW that I ordered in November of last year. It came with the Nexen 235/80/17 tires. They really don't work as I expect in lite snow and ice.
My question is can I use 245/75/17 tires without having to use a spacer plate on the rears? I do haul a 16k lb Goose neck trailer.
Looking for experienced answers please.

It's not the width, it's the tire and tread pattern. I switched from the stock tires to BFG All Terrain KO's just before it started to snow here in Northern Virginia. I'm a FF/Paramedic and live about 90 minutes from work, not going to work because of weather is not an option. I did notice that my mileage dropped with the BFG's. I didn't want to change size because I also pull a 43 foot 5th RV.
