I have a 2016 3500 with the Aisin transmission and air assist suspension. I love the truck except for the poor throttle response it has I was just wondering if anyone has had this same issue? It is so bad that crossing busy roads I have had cars flashing lights, honking horns and even swerving to miss my truck because it just crawls like it is idleing for the first 5 seconds then it will go like crazy I know this is torque management but its just plain unsafe especially if someone driving it is unfamiliar with this truck. I took it to the local dealership they tested it out came back from a test drive and said its not safe to drive but didn't know what to do. So they called the district manager to drive it along with a chrysler representative both agreed its not safe to drive also they said they were unaware of the problem you think they would test these trucks out. I have a 2014 non high output also and it will blow the 16 away the dealer said they changed the computers in 15. Its been at the dealership now for 2 weeks because they said they have to go up the chain of command to see if the engineers are even allowed to write a new program because that is the way it was designed. Then if they are allowed they don't know how long that will take. Two more trucks showed up there this week they said with the same problem. The dealer offered to get the truck programmed at a local diesel shop to get rid of the torque management if Ram would keep the warranty but they wouldn't. I have had 6 Cummins trucks in the last 15 years but after this mess I doubt I would buy another one. Now I have been without my truck for 2 weeks for my business. What a joke! I just got a call from the dealer and they were just told thats the way it is designed by Ram and they are not allowed to do anything. They even don't agree with them and still say its unsafe to drive I will be selling this truck and never buying another Ram guess ill be getting a powerstroke.
